View Full Version : Why did Louis take it to deadlock?
I assume his logic was that both of them had been in the bottom two before... but Belle Amie came out with such a boring, lacklustre sing off performance; Katie put her all into hers and 1) showed she wanted it more and 2) sang better, in my opinion. Thoughts?

Because he was praying that Katie Weasel would go? :D

because Katie was awful?
because he thought it would be fairer?
because he wants Cheryl's ego to die?
because he loves a bit of drama?
because he said the wrong person?
ALL POSSIBILITIES.

I love the thought of him accidentally saying the wrong person. It reminded me of that Cat Deeley mix-up on the Peter Kay spoof show, that was gold

I agree with you. I thought for sure it would be a 3:1 ouster of BA. Katie did a great job Sat night.

I think deadlock was the right thing to do.
They had both been in the last 2, Louis had come to like both acts,He would have had the wrath of Simon had he sent Belle Amie out. So he took it to deadlock and let those who had spent the money trying to keep the acts in, decide the outcome.
Really it would have been awful had Katie gone over Belle Amie, Louis is rather good at judging the publics mood and from past X Factors knows Girlgroups are not popular with the voting public. He would know Belle Amie were likely bottom of the poll,so on this occasion he did right.
As a caller said, its daft the judges vote anyway since usually half of them are cast for their own acts no matter how good or bad they do in the sing off.

I thought Belle Amie did a better job in the sing off tbh but either way neither of them were going to last much longer in the competition anyway

I agree with this and was disappointed Belle Amie went, but as it was the publics decision....then so be it.
IMO if it had been down to the judges then it would of left a bad taste....which is what usually happens.
Louis need to grow a pair! That was such a cop out!

Yeah, I think if they had been able to work together a bit longer they could have been very good, plus I do agree with Louis that Simon wasn't putting the time or effort in with them

To be his usual pr!cky self. Why else would he send home someone who he said just a week ago "has the X-Factor" ?

Maybe he wanted to not be the bad guy and eliminate Belle Amie who were, in my opinion, better in the sing off than Katie

I think belle amie did ok in the singoff.
I do think the audience influenced his decision a bit though, they need to shut the hell up.

He's actually always liked Belle Amie, and to probably give them a fair chance or something.

Katie was ****ing awful, can't stand her and her fake act.
Neither her or Belle Amie have ever stood a chance of winning and I would have liked to see them both sent home.

Katie looked so desperate in her singoff, and i dont think that is what its all about....tears and looks to the judges as if she is about to be shot....sad to see, as she will not win this comp and will go out soon. She could have a breakdown at this rate.

This.
With Louis it's all about gaining the support of the public with cracking faily jokes and trying to please everyone and stuff.
He didn't want to upset Belle Amie fans.
