I think his comments were extremely unnecessary - behind closed doors that's a reasonable thing to say, quite funny even, but to say it to the papers and then appear on the show in front of them is one of the dumbest things I've heard of in terms of celebrity slanging matches. On the plus side, made for great awkward viewing! :D
