Chantelle backs bullying campaign

Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton will launch a campaign to battle bullying in London.

Bullywatch London, a campaign devised by the charity Beatbullying, aims to tackle bullying and raise awareness.

Ms Houghton, deputy mayor Nicky Gavron and children from Manor Park Primary school in east London, will release 130 balloons over the River Thames.

Beatbullying has said that 130,000 children suffer from bullying every day in London.

The campaign is a joint initiative between the mayor of London, Beatbullying, Association of London Government and Transport for London.

Beatbullying is a national anti-bullying charity, helping young people to lead campaigns in their schools and local communities.

Ms Houghton's fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Glamour model Jodie Marsh suffered bullying at school and is also a supporter of Beatbullying.
