View Full Version : Seven Days - underrated

Is ANYONE on here still watching this? I must be the only one, and I have to say it's extremely underrated. I really don't understand why people didn't stick with it - it's like BB, takes a bit of time to 'get into it' and to get to know the characters. The people that thought it'd be great first week are fools, IMO.

Last weeks episode and so far tonight's have been absolutely fantastic. And to whoever said they're just 'idiots' - they're actually quite entertaining [well, some of them] - infact some of them are the types we used to see on BB. Some of them seem to be talented too - and some of them have touching backgrounds [for example, one guy hasn't seen his family in 25 years or something - and met them last week and another three people have lost their mothers and in tonight's show it showed them all breaking down and talking about it]. Very entertaining and has definitely been a grower.

It's a shame that this show is ending next week [well, I assume so] - I could definitely watch this all year round.

Nope sorry Jack,

I literally fell asleep half way through it on the first episode.

I deleted it straight after [It was recorded].

Yeah speaking of British Dulled Versions of TRW.

My nan was watching the only way is essex earlier and was like 'Oh son you would love this it's alot like Big Brother' and I was like looking at it and was like 'pfft' I mean it's ITV's attempt at the real world just as C4 attempted it too with Seven Days.

I told my nan about the real world and how it was 10 times better than that and she didn't believe me.

Then I said how it's almost as good as Big Brother and she knew how much I loved Big Brother and knew that was a big deal for me to say.

So I told her tomorrow, I'd give her the link to TRW thread on here so she can watch the episodes  pmsl.

Is it?
Well on the bright side,

If they don't make Big Brother 12, Which I SERIOUSLY DOUBT they ever will.

We'll get the golden cage, which sounds ******ing amazing and that'll go on all year around :D

In a way, I'm so glad Seven Days failed and TMPD has lost viewers.
It's our way of kicking Channel 4 in the bollocks after what they did to Big Brother.

tbh I don't think that Essex show is anything like TRW because it just seems really fake, I think its more like The Hills, personally.

Yeah I said that too because there was a scene were the characters were in the toilets talking and the way the camera work was done and how they didn't swear and stuff seemed like it was a soap.

The Real World, You can tell the camera work is done by a crew just following them all around and letting the sh*t unfold lol

The thing that made me think of it as The Real World was the way they would put the characters names and stuff in the bottom of the screen and that like TRW does

TMPD hasn't lost viewers - in fact, it's gained them. Friday's episode got 2.7million viewers including +1, making it the highest rated show to date.

But yes, Seven Days is a complete and utter fail.

Really?

That's good that George brung in ratings

I remember reading that an episode of this series got like 1.2 Million on DS about a week ago, I think it was the launch show.

It has held the 2m viewers it had during series one, which I'm pleasently surprised at considering C4's state at the moment.

I posted the ratings here: http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3878570#post3878570

Nope sorry Jack,

Indeed the first episode was dull - but I don't understand why anyone thought the first episode would be very entertaining? We didn't know the characters at that point - we were just being introduced to them. It's like Big Brother, really. When was there ever a series of BB in which you could say that the first episode/first week were the best highlight show/shows? Never - because it took time to learn the housemates names, get to know them - work out who was entertaining and who wasn't, etc etc. It's the same with this. It was never going to be brilliant after the first episode - and I think people that gave up aren't fit to be judging a show they, really, know nothing about.

Like I've said, some of the 'characters' are like Big Brother housemates, and there's a few that in particular I think you'd like Patrick [Ben, Laura Z, Samantha (who are both hot), possibly Malcolm for anyone that's still watching].

The main thing I like about this is that over the last few weeks, the 'characters' have started to meet up with each other [because originally they were complete strangers] - and it's been really interesting to see the results/how they interact with each other. The Ben guy in particular [he goes on loads of dates] has been on dates with the other character, Samantha. And then you can tell them what you think of them on their 'ChatNav' site - which I think is great because in BB you could never tell the dull ones to be more entertaining or the entertaining ones that had their idiotic haters to ignore them and continue on being entertaining - but you can on this. It's essentially a soap, except it's all real. I think it's great and don't understand why people haven't given it a chance. I just get the feeling that a lot of people, not just you, want to spite C4 and will put them down at the earliest possible opportunity. And trust me, I would love to see them fail too - but not with this, because it's actually good...

You should really give TRW a go Jack.

I intend to one day, I did watch one episode and enjoyed it. It's the constant accusations of it being fake that puts me off :p

What's it about?

Basically, roughly fifteen - twenty people living in Notting Hill, London have agreed to have their lives filmed 24/7. Then every Tuesday at roughly 11PM [was originally 10PM on Wednesday] a 'highlights show' is broadcast - similar to Big Brother. During and after the show, you can go onto their website [http://sevendays.channel4.com/, and use their feature called 'ChatNav' to go onto the 'characters' profiles, leave them a comment - and tell them what they should 'do with their life next', so you could offer advice to issues that have been raised in the show etc...and then you could see their potential progress the following week. And they can also reply on the website as well. Most of the chararacters comment on their feedback [some of which is quite negative], and this has also been broadcast - so it's quite interesting to see how they react.

It's essentially a 'real life soap' - and the viewer can change what happens as it goes along. I find it very similar to Big Brother in the sense that they're very diverse, interesting people - and quite a few of them, as I've said before, would definitely be fit to be Big Brother housemates.

The only person who seems to think that its fake is Dezzy and he hasn't even watched a single episode lol
You only have to watch 5 minutes of it to realise that it isn't fake.

That's just made me want to watch :bawling: I'm quite pissed I missed it because If I watched it on 4OD Or something it'd be too late to write in and tell the bores to st.fu or anything like that or contract the fit birds with my email address :bawling:

Do you think they'd make a Series 2?

I intend to one day, I did watch one episode and enjoyed it. It's the constant accusations of it being fake that puts me off :p

I thought it was fake too, I always had a go at ILTRW and was like 'Would you st.fu bitch it's not real' but when I watched the 2004 series I realised how epic it was and that it's quite hard to stage it.

There was this guy that died of aids like literally a day I think after the series ended, if it was fake they would of told him to leave and be with his family etc

I hope you do give it a go soon, it would be epic to hear your opinions on the housemates, if you do watch it I think you should start with New Orleans the recent one.

Because not only is every girl in this series very hot, but there's alot of entertainment in every episode and plus it's basically on TiBB already so it's just a matter of clicking a link and watching it rather than having to track down all the episodes lol

In the earlier series with Claire Sweeney presenting it they never used to finish the rooms and just left the materials to do it themselves :joker: but this was just when it was regular people instead of the woman with no legs whos kid was born with cancer or something daft like that

Just watching the 7th episode on 4oD now, I love the Australian women and her funny named posh kids that run riot and swear at her. I don't know why they weren't on from the beginning.

Seven Days is the best thing since big brother. I'm obsessed and gutted it's not a year long series.
