Both Susan and Take That are releasing new albums on the 15th of November
Susan's second album 'The Gift' is the follow up to 2009's huge worldwide seller 'I Dreamed a Dream' and Take That's new album 'Progress' is the group's first album since Robbie Williams rejoined the band.
Who do you think will get the #1 album spot when both are released next week?
Smithy

Michael Jackson ;)
edit: wait whuuut I thought they were competing for xmas number 1 album?

Considering how fast Take That's tour sold out they probably won't have any problems doubling Susan Boyle's sales in the first week.

Also just realised Rihanna, P!nk and McFly are also releasing new albums next week. Going to be a tough week for the albums chart.

I don't know about Susan Boyle but the boys were one of the fastest selling albums ever with The Circus, they sold a million copies in the UK in 22 days and it's gone platnium 7 times. They were Number 1 for either 3 or 5 weeks last time, can't remember for the life of me. But yeah bias aside it's obviously going to be Take That.

I can't fathom this national infatuation with them. At least the Bay City Rollers (their 70's equivalent) had the good grace not to be half as bafflingly popular.

Currently Susan is higher than Take That on both Amazon and iTunes, I expect TT will overtake her when both albums are released but like Smithy said this is going to be close and I wouldn't be surprised if Susan just pipped Take That to get the #1.

Just seen on Amazon Take That are number 2 with Progress but they're also Number 10 with the deluxe edition.

Take that easily. They have some major tv shows coming up.
I think Subo is a one hit phenomenon. Though it will do fairly well I suppose.

I think Rihanna could get no. 3. That'd be good.
SuBo's old news. TT's very much not.
This.
TT appeal to a MUCH wider audience too. :)
Can there be a neither option?

Oh looks like Susan's album is now available to buy, seems like her producers knew she would have no chance of beating Take That.

McFly's has already been released on their website for 2 weeks, and it's cheaper to sign up there for a month (and get the album free) than buy the album anyway, haha! The only difference is that the physical copy is out in shops for us! haha! x
