I wouldn't say that all her fans think that way. The ones who do.. have probably not seen/heard a wide range of other artists to make a comparison. Some people amaze me with their limited music knowledge, but in those cases, it's understandable that they'd find someone like GaGa to be 'unique'.

I personally love GaGa. Her music is good, and her personality is hilarious. She's not doing anything a great deal differently from the things Madonna did in the 80s. I loved her at that time also.

GaGa brings something fresh to a rather bland music scene full of 'samey' artists. I applaud her for that.

She's really not doing anything that hasn't been done before. But every artist brings their little take on things.

In terms of shock value she is nowhere near Madonnas standards. Madonna knocked down doors and changed attitudes. Gaga is pretty safe in comparison and basically shocks with outrageous outfits.

Her music is great pop though. Thats really at the core of her success.
