View Full Version : Katie Waissel X Factor finalist Katie Waissel: I said "sod it" because I was so frustrated
X Factor finalist Katie Waissel shocked viewers when she slumped to the floor on stage during Sunday night's sing-off with Treyc Cohen and said, 'Sod it'.
Treyc's fans hoped the blonde singer was about to give up, but Katie had simply forgotten the words to her song.
'When I said "sod it' that wasn't me giving up,' she tells Metro. 'That was just me trying so hard to get across the meaning of the lyrics as they meant so much to me.
'It was more frustration.'
Katie's father has also defended his 24-year-old daughter, who he says is having a tough time.
'She's gone through a hell of a lot over the last three months,' he told LBC 97.3

It must be difficult to always be in the bottom 2 and have to perform week in week out knowing the public don't like you.. I feel a bit sorry for her :sad:

Then why doesn't she just accept she is the least talented, least liked contestant and bow out before she is kicked out this coming week? I doubt there's anything she can do now to reverse public opinion, and most of the criticisms are well deserved.

She lights this competition up like a large free standing wall lamp from Ikea, and not one of the cheap ones neither.

If she does a really good song it'll reverse opinion other than that she's getting the boot I reckon

I was thinking more like one of those cheap tea lights you get off the market, with the skinny wick that doesn't give off enough light and that flickers and goes out long before the wax has had a chance to melt. But you know, despite having none of the attributes of a decent tea light, it's still marketed as a tea light and so is ultimately disappointing.

Katie is not the least talented contestant, you can't seriously think she is worse than Wagner!!!!
She is not my favourite but she can at least SING!!!!!!!!!

Are we supposed to believe this story then? After all, the past few days we have been told we are stupid if we believe what is said in the papers/mag :)

I understand why but its not showing her as a fighter like the judges will make it out to be.

I find it hard to feel sorry for her just because she's always in the bottom two, so was Rachel Adedeji last year and she fought hard, didn't forget her lyrics and got voted out because she had been there MORE times than Lloyd which is what should have happened on sunday to Katie, 3/5 weeks in the bottom two, obvious sign - NO ONE WANTS HER!

Yep she does provoke deep feelings, and then you could use your shovel to bury her six feet under.
Precisely why we should be keeping her in the show. She is not someone you can just brush aside, she is keeping this series alive. Vote for Katie.

She is not keeping the show alive, wth are you talking about? this isn't big brother, all the contestants are required to do is sing their songs (something that Katie can't even manage sometimes) If anything she's killing the show, over last weeks fiasco I know lots of people who are now backing the Wagner campaign because the show is such a farce, even thinking about joining it myself
