Not sure about shooting people when they get old. I'd rather put people in some kind of boarding school until they reach the age of majority. Save all that money parents would have spent on trainers and iphones.

I can see where the OP is coming from. Anyone who is really serious about protecting their voice would not smoke, IMO.

Lots of people who have never smoked in their life also die of cancer earlier than they should. Smoking doesn't help your health, 'if' you are a heavy smoker that it, but very sadly, often its the (bad) luck of the draw as to who gets cancer and who doesn't.

Lots of singers and movie stars all smoked heavily but lived to at least their 80s.
