http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10433/thumb_josie-gibson-charity-single.jpgJosie has recorded a charity single called 'Christmas Day in the Morning' with the Cornish Wurzells to raise money for The Children's Hospice South West. It is released on 13th December.

Big Brother winner Josie Gibson has got together with the Cornish Wurzells to produce a fun and uplifting original Christmas track to raise money for The Children's Hospice South West.

The West Country band has teamed up with one of their greatest fans from Bristol, Josie Gibson.

Josie was not shy in voicing her love of the West Country boy band during her stay in the Big Brother house. Those of you who are Big Brother fans may recall her trying to teach John James the song Combine Harvester.

Josie went on to win Big Brother 2010 and then met her idols. It goes without saying the Cornish Wurzells serenaded her with Combine Harvester which is one of Josies' favourite tracks by the West Country's oldest boy bands.

Russell who is lead singer in the band approached Josie with a Christmas single in mind to raise money for Children's Hospice South West. Without hesitation Josie agreed. Since then The Wurzells have been writing a unique piece to rival the Christmas charts.

Join this group for updates and video footage as its recorded. With your help we could get Josie and The Cornish Wurzells into the charts this Christmas!

The single will be released on itunes on Monday 13th December to aim for a Christmas No.1, we will post download links when they become available.

No one cares about him. He will NEVER be popular in the UK. However Josie is eventhough I am not really a fan of either of them.

Good luck to them anyway!! It's for Charity so I hope it does well.

Just listened to Josie on the radio. She sounded allright.

Wonder what her perfume is going to be called?

Will it do as well as Jade Goody's "Shhhhhh" or Chanelle Hayes' "Mwah"

I know Jade's perfume did really well in the sales.

They will have to really advertise this single outside Cornwall if they want a chance to make it even into the top 5 lol.

I reckon it will do well, Christmas singles usually do when released as charity singles, and anything else done with some going to charity.

The cynical side of me however can't help thinking her PR who are good PR, especially as they are behind a few who I don't think would have got as much workwise if not with them, and who seem to specialise in reality peeps, would have suggested a charity single would be the way to go, especially near Christmas when more likely to tug on the heartstrings of a lot of people in the giving season who might not normally bother would be the way to go to have her single do well.

I can't get sound on my computer, I think something is not compatable with Shockwave I think it is? which most devices seem to use? And I have no idea what is not compatible so cannot listen to that interview unless I nip upstairs to my laptop of which I cannot be bothered for now. So would like to know are all the proceeds going to Charity, most, or just some? It is very good PR keeping her in the limelight, as these days many ex BB housemates, even the winners of the shows are usually not heard of for long, no matter what they may have media and workwise going on in the background as the interest is lacking these days.

Well her PR have to do something with her - after all she's hardly page 3 or Nuts material is she?

Since it's for Charity, I hope it does well. However, there's a lot of competition that time of year so I can't see it getting a decent spot in the charts.

John wasn't asked to do it. But he has plenty in the pipeline-calender,fitness show and a range of hoodies, plus him and Josie are getting another show, their manager said. Josie has the single and her perfume, hope the single does well cos it's for charity.

Coincedentally, I was thinking the something similar. Is this her PR people trying the Charm offensive tactic, to try to endear her to the public with all these Charity stunts. Seems very much like it to me.

Great that charity of various types will benefit. Wont make a blind bit of difference to me. I still think the whole romance is nothing more than business, giving people the fairytale that they want - even though there's not an ounce of truth in it.

What happened to the supposed engagment - her being spotted trying on diamond rings? Surely that wasn't just another bit of spin to keep the tweenies squeeeeeeing ...... surely not !!:joker:

As for Josie herself. It's just a way of trying to max her time in the public eye. There isn't really an awful lot more to go on with her. Another few short months, if that, and no one except the very few, will be all that interested.
