Calls grow for Cheryl to be axed as thousands of fans complain
Host Dermot O'Leary reveals producers rehearsed Cheryl's no vote in ad break
TV sources confirm Treyc received THREE times more votes of support than Katie One of the most controversial X Factor shows ever was last night exposed as nothing more than a charade.
Presenter Dermot O’Leary revealed that Cheryl Cole’s decision not to vote when two of her acts were up against each other to escape the axe had been planned all along.
Millions watched as Miss Cole dithered over whether to plump for Treyc Cohen or Katie Waissel.
'We thought it might happen before the break when we found out who was in the bottom two,’ he said.
'We decided if she wasn’t going to vote, we would go to the majority verdict.’

If that is true then Cheryl deserves to be axed, she is paid to mentor and judge, and therin lies the problem, a conflict of interest, to mentor and judge other mentors acts too is as this shows not a good idea.
However, had Louis had his 2 acts in the bottom 2 or Dannii had 2 acts in the bottom 2, Ms Cole would have been relishing every minute of getting rid of one of their acts, and she would expect them to amke a decision too.
If its right they knew she would not vote for one of her acts to go,and as she didn't then if she is not prepared to vote in that scenario, for one of her own acts then she should not be able to vote against any of the other judges acts either.
She is paid to make a decision, that is her role on X Factor,so she is not doing her job and if people don't do their jobs, they get sacked.
Frankly I just don't think she cares anyway, she wants to be off to the States in the future so doubt she would worry if axed from the UK X Factor.
Also if that is corect above from leather trumpet, then it should have been clearly detailed to the viewers and if they had no time left on XFactor to do so, since there is far too much yapping before the main event of the results annoncements anyway, there is still no excuse, the folow on show Xtra Factor could have been the vehicle used to really explain what happened.no one chose to at all.
Even Philip Schofield on THis Morning when talking to an equally baffled Jeff Brazier who was at X Factor said he couldn't understand it at all and thought it very odd.
Odd it was and it leaves a rotten smell in the air and the show discredited too.
that interview with Dermot is true, i heard a clip of it on the radio yesterday
he said in the ad break the producers and him had a chat and thought she may refuse so planned what they would do in that event

Exactly as quite a few of us suspected and argued on here on Monday; arguments met by charges of being hysterical, Cheryl-hating conspiracy theorists. Ah well. There you go.

but doing that in the break is normal. It is not rehearsed before the show etc. They dont know the voting figs during the break etc

I don't buy that. They decided not to leave Cheryl till last as they wanted to avoid deadlock and keep Katie in. It's so obvious and it's cheating the public out of getting rid of Katie.

I don't believe Treyc received three times the votes of Katie.
We know who is on death row this Saturday, Katie, let's get her vote out this weekend.
You can, of course, vote for one of the big four..Rebecca, Aiden, Cher and Matt; that is if you want to waste your money on a contestant already through.

Good old Cheryl
you're only saying that because it kept Katie in Novo
Cheryl is always thinking of what is right for this show and how do you lot repay her? by making silly fix comments :nono:

They are desperate that Katie gets into the last eight to ensure a sell out tour. She is the big attraction even if it is teenage girls who queue up to egg her.

if she stays this week will she be in the tour?

Yes I agree ,they really want her to make it to the final eight so that she can go on tour.I mean like her or not(I don't)she will probably be the most talked about contestant this year.

I reckon Treyc would have had at least 2-3% more of the vote than Katie, it wouldn't have been close.

If that's what happened, it's no big deal. And that's not bloody rehearsal - it's just planning what they might have to do in a certain event.
They really shouldn't have gone to Cheryl second, and when they would have gone to her, they should have forced her to vote.

This is the whole point, I don't blame Cheryl one bit for not voting, they should have went to her last as they always do.

Meh. I still don't blame cheryl. It was whoever decided to go to her second to avoid deadlock...

As Niamhxo & Phlip have pointed out, its not Cheryl thats at fault here and any attacks directed at her for not voting are quite ridiculous. She is only at fault for not raising the issue once Louis had voted. And in that i believe she is responsible as she knew it was only her wildcard that was going and perhaps preferred it to happen anyway.
As to her not voting to start with....how could she determine at that point who to vote for?? If she had voted for Katie to counteract Scowell, and then Danni & Louis also voted Katie, then she would of been slagged off for voting to help oust Katie 3-1.
The whole thing was rigged by the producers to protect Katie. And its them that should be punished by people boycotting the phone ins. Its what happened to BB as the amount of callers diminished over the years to the point it wasnt worth doing anymore.
