Does anybody else actually like her as a person?

I'm not a massive Katie fan, and I won't be particularly bothered if she's voted out, but I actually really like her as a person. Okay so I don't actually know her, but from what I do know.

But her personality seems to be precisely the reason everybody else doesn't like her. I understand that she's kind of annoying, that she's a drama queen. Of course I see that, but I still really like her.

Just wondered if anyone else does?

Never liked her as a person despite supporting her most of the time because of her ability (but then I can't even bring myself to support her for that right now).

She is needy, a drama queen and clearly underrehearses her performances out of laziness/egotism. Her apparent idol Madonna always had issues with arrogance, self-centeredness and (arguably) lack of talent, but she was also driven and hard-working. A quality that Katie severely lacks.

Cher's histrionics used to irritate the Hell out of me, particularly at the judges' houses when compared to Treyc's grown-up, gracious attitude, but Katie is actually making Cher seem likeable now. As weird as it sounds, I the only thing I still admire about Katie is that she doesn't listen to the judges, implying the sort of woman who could take control of her career if she actually put the effort in.

I thought she was fake up until when she survived her first sing-off and I started to like her then she totally made me hate her for being so desperate on sunday and she totally *****ing up her sing-off performance and then she still got saved! :mad: so I just really don't like her as a person, as a performer she's okay.

Yes - she just seems like an ambitious, outgoing, confident, 'quirky' young girl. Really don't understand the problem with that. The hate is so OTT.

I actually wasnt bothered about her either way in the beginning, and thought she had an interesting voice even if its weak at times. But since the judges house, when she donned those ridiculous eyelashes and buggered up her song also, and with the constant fainting-attention-seeking and the desperation pleading sing-offs, then im afraid i cant wait till she has gone and hopefully becomes one of the ex-x-factor wannabees that disappear in time.

She is desperate to be famous but has no discernable talent to help her in this quest. She witters on about how she's "being herself" and tells us endlessly "this is really me!", but honestly, that's not really much to brag about. She's ordinary. It seems that her biggest fans are people who find her attractive, which is fine... but realistically, she's a dreadful singer, dresses up like other people in a misguided effort to be unique and her personality is about as exciting as a drink water served at room temperature.

I think she's got a lovely personality. She seems very polite and humble, despite being a bit odd and 'not the norm'. I think she's great.

It seems to me like the public generally just don't like anyone with a lot of confidence - or at least anyone who shows/acts like they have a lot of confidence.

I think she's alright, clearly a drama queen and although some think Katie is fake or whatever this character assisination some are doing of her is OTT:joker:, reality TV contestant and yet we seem to think we know them through watching or being manipulated by the editing:rolleyes:.

I don't know her, so cannot comment with any authority on her personality. What makes me fear I would dislike her strongly is her patent dearth of humility. Ditto Cher. It does, however, seem to be an attribute that's fallen off the list of desirables. Most regrettable - particularly when you've not actually done anything to merit an ego the size of the Thames estuary.
My main issues with Katie, as an X-Factor viewer, are her quite astonishing lack of singing ability - how did she get this far, seriously? And there's also the fact that her screamingly obvious attempts to force herself into quirkiness hurt my fillings.

I don't really worry too much about likability in terms of their personal lives or attitudes although it is part of the appeal and 'selling an artist' or whatever.

Look, she is trying to make a living and get a job. I don't fault anyone for it. She isn't necessarily too pleasant,
however,
my problem is that she is a mediocre singer and performer. Not horrible but certainly in the not a top talent here.
I'd rather see this come down to the real talents like Matt, Rebecca and (if she can surge again) Mary.
Or at least see the improving Paige keep getting a little better each time.

Though she would be perfectly fine in a cover band doing whatever nightclubs or something.

Disliked her intensely because of the way she came across in her audition (I dunno if that was down to editing or if it was just her being herself) and throughout the audition stage; then I kind of warmed to her after her sing off performance but I think that was just the instinct in me to want to stick up for someone who's being kicked when they're down - I find her fairly difficult to warm to but I do think that it will work in her favour - at least her fans will be in hardcore and dedicated to her - it's much easier to be passionate about someone who causes controversy.

That being said i think disliking someone and hating are 2 very different things

she seems ok, i'd rather be stuck in a lift with her than many other people i've encountered in life or seen on tv...she seems a bit mad, but sweet and harmless.

She's ok, although I just don't get her. Katie Waissel to me is some spoilt brat that loves attention. I'm sure she's a lovely girl, but she hasn't been perceived this way and will be out this weekend, or in the next few weeks.

I cannot say whether I like her as a person beacuse I don't know her,its impossible to make a judgement on that.
What I have seen from her as to personality on X Factor,is that she comes across dull but having an expectancy to not be challenged.

What I don't like about her professionally and musically is that she clearly fials to prepare and work at the songs she does, hence the forgetting of words, I have seen nothing that makes me say, wow, she has real talent.

The final and only judgement I can make is watching X Factor, does she inspire me to want to hear more from her, the answers are a resounding no, I don't like her voice, she performs awkwardly and I have seen not a thing that would have me go out and buy her CDs or even think about going to see her 'live', if she struggles to remember 2 songs,she will be chaos 'live' on stage having to perform many more.

So for me there is litlle, if any, star quality there so as a singer, she is last on my list.
