X Factor is a genius concept.

Take the simple formula:

1 semi-competant singer (can be just about anyone, as long as they appeal to masses of teens/young adults of low intellect, particularly lesses intelligent females under 25)

+

Excessive exposure via prime time TV and appearances in gossip magazines/tabloids (i.e. similar to selling trash to tramps)

=

Gauranteed income via money spent by lesser intelligent teens/adults who obsessively purchase the numerous magazines, singles & albums, autobiographis (written by young people with no real life experience) etc

In a nutshell: only idiots can be exploited, and, seeing as most people are idiots, my guess is people like Cowell (who are intelligent) have a good chuckle when the cash comes rolling in despite a lack of tangabile goods being sold.

ps: Only about 0.5% of people reading will understand this post.

That is all.

For something you find so banal, you have gone to a lot of trouble to express yourself about it at length. If it's only the low-intellect masses that like it, the question has to be, why do you watch?

The problem with idiots are that they don't know they're idiots; they assume they're hyper-intelligent and that everyone else is an idiot.

Wrong. An idiot can have no concept of idiocy such is his/her idiocy.

Do keep up.

You obviously have the greater knowledge when it comes to being an idiot and you've illustrated my point perfectly.

I'm sticking you on ignore now. I mention it only to save you the trouble of replying.
