Seems like a stupid question but just wondered. I'd definitely vote for myself if I were a contestant, even though that's a bit pathetic!

I believe they can and should. Since they have mobile phones and also access to phones all over then I can't see how it could be prevented, their families vote for them as do the judges/mentors so there would seem no reason why they can't also.
