I'm A Celebrity ... proved to be an instant ratings hit by landing its biggest ever opening night, figures show.
The show helped ITV1 to its highest Sunday night audience this year when it launched, estimates reveal.
I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! had a peak audience of 12.5 million viewers for the start of its tenth series - up a huge 1.8 million on last year's opener. The show had an average of 11.2 million, which is also a new record for the opening show.
It's obviously good news, but I do find it annoying that I'm A Celebrity - which is basically about the same each year - keeps climbing in the ratings while Big Brother has found itself on the scrapheap :(

I hope it stays as good :)

Therein lies the reason for BB's failure - Phil Edgar Jones messed with the formula and lost the plot, getting more desperate every year until the the last few series were mere soap opera ..... IAC does what it says on the tin - make the stars cry, make the audience laugh ..... :joker:

I had a feeling they'd be big last night - it seems there was a bigger 'buzz' than there usually was.

Big Brother became too complex and contrieved, IAC has stuck to its roots. Its had bad years, it looked like it was going to be axed a while back but its managed to get through it by persevering and not playing with it too much. That type of format is only as good as the contestants they choose.

Same with The Real World, its coming up to its 20th year and is still more or less exactly the same as its original season.

This, Same goes for X Factor.
Big Brother was the best show to ever come on TV, When you hear about other shows getting above 10 Million and stuff it makes me quite upset :joker:
