Jennifer Hudson didn't. Having said that, her success post American Idol had little to do with American Idol, but still - contestants should see the X Factor as a platform to launch their careers from; not expect it to be their career.

What happened to Simon? I had to believe Simon has just given up and now blatantly praises anything he sees making money or what is happening?

He is praising Aiden during the competition when even the least sophisticated music lovers can see the disaster that was Aiden.
OK.
But now he is suggesting Aiden can become successful with this singing thing?
Maybe he does get a role in the remake of 'Psycho' and does actually win some Academy Awards.
