So how are the rest of the shows going to work?

This weekend coming is Week 7, by which point we usually have six acts left - and currently we have eight. In Week 8 we usually have five acts left, all acts perform two songs each [meaning ten performances in total] and that's when the sing-off is removed and the act with the least votes is automatically eliminated. Week 9 follows the same pattern, and Week 10 is the Final - where three acts usually remain.

But how is it going to work this year? We still need two more Double Eliminations to get it down to the usual three acts for the Final.

If there's a Double Elimination this week, then six acts will remain in Week 8. If there were then two performances from each act, there'd be twelve in total. But then does the sing-off stay or is it removed like usual? I can't imagine them risking a Double Elimination with no sing-off. So then they could do a Single Elimination, but there'll still be five acts left in Week 9 when there'd usually be four. A Double Elimination could come into play here, but then again - would they really risk it just on the public vote?

Or will there be a Double Elimination this week, leaving six for Week 8 [they'll all perform two songs each], and then another that week, leaving four for Week 9 - and THEN remove the sing-off, just one week before the Final?

Or - as one last solution - are we going to have more than three acts in the Final? Thoughts? :conf:

I reckon there will be one more double elimination and the semi final will be on Saturday 11th with the final on the 12th and results included in each show. In that situation the last bottom 2 would be the 28th instead of the 21st like it usually is

basically if the results going there way this week it will be a double elimination,but if it isnt then it will be a single.

i dont know about the other weeks yet.

So only one more double is needed

They haven't said, all we know for sure is that there needs to be a double elimination soon,it was thought to be set for sunday but was changed again it seems for some reason.
Usually after a certain week the judges hand the results only to the public vote,so if they still do that this year there will be no sing offs necessary obviously.

if the final is on the 18th of december there only needs to be one more double elimination which I think will be next week. I would like this week sing off wagner and paije. Wagner leaves. Next week double. Katie leaves. Paije and mary in bottom two. Paije leaves. Sing off gets rid of leaving just 5 acts, mary, one direction, cher, matt, rebecca. Mary leaves in the quarter final. Cher leaves in the semi final one direction come 3rd. Rebecca comes 2nd. Matt wins
