The Million Pound Drop returns this Christmas for four shows

Just like I predicted in the thread. Confirmed on their Official Facebook.

We can officially announce we will be back this Christmas for 4 shows in December, with our host Davina McCall. Davina said "On this programme, you will win big money - you'll win a minimum of £25,000 if you win, but it's hard to get there. I quite like that. The Drop has turned into this evil machine that is very hard to beat. It's almost taken a life of its own!". Follow our updates for more details...

Scheduling's out - it's back on Wednesday 15th December at 8pm :(

Second and third episodes follow on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th, also at 8pm. No word on the fourth yet.

Inevitably there will be a time delay now so they can cut swearing - hopefully it won't harm the show too much

Wednesday's episode got 2.13million viewers (9%) with an extra 150,000 (0.6%) on +1. But with strong competition from the Royal Variety Performance, last night's show only got 1.06million viewers (4.1%) with 236,000 (0.9%) extra on +1.

Hopefully this will serve as a warning to Channel 4 for future series - it's not going to do as well in the 8pm hour, especially when it's up against big-name shows/soaps :(
