View Full Version : Ben and the nappy story

Since there are a lot of ben fans here and it's sort of a private forum, not many people view it I'd like people's opinions about the nappy story.
During a game in big brother there was a game that involved people telling embarrassing stories, corin once was caught shop lifting as a kid the usual thing anyway when it came to ben he said that "a friend" in his school used to buy nappies as 12 year old and wear them because he liked the feel of them, all of the group laughed and said this story was really a story about ben wasn't it, ben never denied it just laughed along.
I didn't know what to make of this story, was it really a story about ben at 12 or was it Ben as an adult admitting his kink, and we all know he loves the older lady, I felt very sorry for ben that night that somehow he had been deprived as a child being sent away to boarding school and it had messed him up somehow
What were other people's thoughts on this?
Vicky.

lmao, I don't remember that!! wearing nappies at 12 is a bit strange and not something I'd admit on TV that's for sure! Maybe he genuinely was talking about a friend

so very true. Some would say that walking around the BB house thrusting your enlarged bollock in people's faces was a pretty strange thing to do too! :joker::joker: In fact, not only is that a strange thing, it's a pretty perverse thing to do, and be televised doing it!

Many men prefer a woman that is older than them. It's hardly newsflash material. Think Demi More, Madonna. I'd say Ben was actually very much 'in vogue'.

You might be wanting to apologise to your Mother, you're going around swearing on her life! LOL
I think you will find that the women in Ben's life, tend to be well heeled, no scraping the barrell for Ben. ;)
given that you appear to be of some fanciful notion that Ben's fondness for older women means that these women are not attractive - I'd like you to prove this, given it is you that is making this spurious allegation to the contrary. ;)

As I said, you're the one going around claiming Ben said something that was meant to be about him personally. My point was that unless you were Ben, you would not be in a position to make the judgement call that he was referring to himself or indeed, a friend.
Like I say, you don't know the truth. Good at telling stories mind you, but not so good at quoting things you claim as being the truth when you can't in fact, back it up. ;)

I'll take it as red that your story telling has as much credence to it.

I agree. I don't see the big deal. If a man who is 30, wants to enjoy someone older's company - I don't see what the issue is.
Same as if a woman in her 30's likes the company of an older man, what's the problem.
I'd far rather see that either way: than seeing a 30 year old man, dating a 16 year old.

he escorted high society women to select events if that's what Laurac's trying to dig at. hardly the sleaze factor that she's trying desperately to make it.

Nothing wrong with Ben fancying older women. Although he seems to like just as many around his own age group also, Bianca G for instance.
I'll tell you what, as I am so nice and helpful :) Next time Ben is on the radio, I will PM you to let you know :) Then you can ask him about the stuff that fascinates you about him, and give him your views on you reckoning he has had an unhappy childhood and has issues stemming from it, and we can listen to his response then :) Hows that? :)

I would not take too much notice of lauras story tbh, she and many others never did get Bens sense of humour, as for the escort thing, I do believe he escorted ladies to posh events, and the older woman thing,.....well if you listen carefully he loves the glamour and style of the older Diva's, Joan Collins, Crawdord, Bette Davis, etc etc, so do I.I love em all, cant get enough of em, but like Ben I mean it in the ''fan of'' sense.
I do believe he dates beautiful youngish women, though he has been seen on the arm of some 40 somethings, the thing is with Ben that he leads such a busy society life and is always seen with beautiful women....its hard to say is he dating or socialising.he is after all in great demand on the society scene.

also, I've not seen you answer any questions as to what age exactly are the women that Ben supposedly has a 'liking for', - in the very sleazy way you tried to portray.
You know, the ones that you referred to earlier as examples (ie: like Joan Crawford, a woman who died in 1977),Joan Collins, Shirley Bassey. :joker:
I haven't heard you reply to those who asked what was wrong with a man in their 30's dating older women? What exactly is wrong with that. Oh, that's right. Nothing.
Unlike Mario, who thinks it's smart not only to out a gay man - but to out a gay married man - I dread to think of the desperate hurt Mario caused to both that man, and his wife. Not only that... he thinks it's fine to brag about that. And you have the cheek to try to berate Ben because he enjoys the company of woman a bit older than him! It's really laughable, it honestly is.

funny you mention this. I recall several posters saying the very same thing and thinking that Laurac was Mario, and using his female friend's name as a pseudonym when Laurac first joined.
Odd that somehow, such 'stories' are being told by Laurac, that no one else can actually recall hearing on Big Brother, almost as though it was unseen by the public and only those who were there would know about ;)
Strange that suddenly Laurac, you are taking the same tactic that Mario himself did on twitter when he began slagging off Andrew's mum: he did the 'Oh wouldn't want to say anything to embarrass him or his mum", when Mario realised he'd gone too far.
I honestly think you started this thread with a very made up story with no other intention but to have a pop at Ben's supporters.
Unfortunately, all you have managed to do is show that anyone can type up whatever they want, but unless they can actually back up their claims, it's all just nothing more than utter rubbish.

Ben talked about loads of intimate stuff, threesomes wanking , sex and of course the nappies, you should have stayed up longer
you do realise that most adults, (male and female) do discuss things like threesomes, wanking, sex. Nappies might crop up, but all things of a sexual based topic are hardly unspoken subjects between adults - it's hardly newsworthy really is it! PMSL.
I mean, we are discussing it right now. SHOCK HORROR !!!

this.
also, I've not seen you answer any questions as to what age exactly are the women that Ben supposedly has a 'liking for', - in the very sleazy way you tried to portray.
It's really laughable, it honestly is.
which man would that be? :conf:
Hey, you started a thread to slag off Ben and try to spin all sorts of nonsensical rubbish about him: how about answering some of what I asked and made reference to in the entire post.

I think we have long established that there is nothing wrong with a man who is 30 years of age being able to date whomever he likes, regardless of what age they are. It's perfectly normal.
we've established you find the nappy thing strange, what we have not established is any proof in your story that you suggested that this 'story' was in fact about Ben himself.
now ... proof please. Proof that Ben said that, and that Ben did indeed, mean him personally.

Okay, so now we have established that your original spin of this being a friend of 12 years of age, was in fact rubbish. The age of person concerned, was actually an 8 year old child. I'll repeat that in case you didn't understand it the first time around. AN 8 YEAR OLD CHILD!
Secondly: you have established that it was Ben's friend. Not Ben.
So I was right. Your story was indeed a load of rubbish - full of holes and inaccuracies.

well there are three scenarios in this game of big brother where people have to tell embarrassing personal stories
a) Ben told a story about a friend of his that would go to the shop and buy nappies and wear them because it felt good and laugh when people said it was him (aww so sad)
b) the kid was actually ben and he is admitting to something about his own past (aww so sad)
c) this is a story about ben's kink and a hint what he's into sexually ( ewww!)

Seeing as the age limit on here is 13, and realising that most teens these days do know what sex is (indeed, plenty of them are actually practisising at that age), I didn't see you having any issue making mention of threesomes, wanking and sex (your words!!) earlier on. You weren't too bothered about being sensitive to the 'underage' people on here earlier were you.
But it seems you do have a wee habit of changing your mind. funny, that was a Mario trait too......went for the jugular then backed off acting all 'caring'.

I'd like you to address the fact that you were happy making mention of threesomes, wanking and sex earlier, but now (that it's actually much late), you suddenly have taken this slant of being 'sensitive'. ;)
I'd say there was nothing hardcore about an 8 year old having any involvment with nappies - bearing in mind here, that your proof showed clearly, it was an 8 year old child that was being discussed.
If anything, I'd say it was pretty warped that anyone would even consider relating the word 'hardcore' to any 8 year old child, which is precisely what you are doing.

Let's look at the way Laurac was so adamant it was all true, (even swearing on her mother's life in a sad attempt to make people believe her lies). Luckily, swearing on someone's life comes from the primary school days and has no real impact, just as well for her Mum eh! ;)

I'll repeat what i said before, they were playing a game where they had to tell embarrassing personal stories, ben's first story was that he liked to walk around naked with just his choir robes on (kinky yeah? :) (even mario might blush at that) and one day he was stopped and asked to take off his cloak, anyway his second story was about a friend I said a 12 year old but in whatm it's mentioned at he's 8, anyway this friend used to go to the shop and buy nappies and put them on because he liked the feel of them, after an embarrassing silence the whole group mocked ben saying that he was this "friend", and ben giggled and laughed too as admission, he didn't put his hands up and say "fair cop gov" but the indication that it was him was there and I felt very sorry for him, but later I thought, hmmm maybe that's just ben's kink, some people like that apparently, adding to his obession with old ladies and the tabloids rumours that he used to bed 60 year olds I think it all makes sense
Only sense here is that you have an over active imagination, did you enjoy the twitcam last night, I noticed you were offline on here while it was on;) I must say my own imagination runs riot sometimes.......though I do try to stick to the boundaries of truth, Ben laughed as an admission hey;)because you can read his mind and thoughts, what a larf:hugesmile::hugesmile:You ought to be careful though because having an opinion on someone on what they do and say is fine, like I think that Mario is a creepy letch simply because he was always letching on the guys...... to trying to state things as fact from your assumption that you can read his mind is alightly different, the only indication it was that it was himself he was speaking of is in your mind, which from all your postings strikes me as a little warped anyhow.
What I find the saddest thing of all is why a housemate would have to take up many different guises to come onto forums and insult the forum members that dont like him, never mind......he showed us in the house how he was so self obsessed, spiteful, sulky, moody, and downright disloyal, no change there then, I shall send him a box of tissues for christmas....so he can mop up his tears:bawling::bawling:

Ben: duplicitous, passive aggressive, bitchy (verging on nasty), self seeking, weak, homophobic, etc.
Mario: Jealous, obsessive, self regarding, sex orientated, naturist (in yer face sort), predatory, etc.
Clearly, both have had many negative points made about them. There's not going to be much changing of opinion towards either of them. However, for the sake of balance, I challenge you to say positive things about either of them, not just "seemingly" positive but genuine positve statements about Ben or Mario, especially of the person you have been criticising.

Blimey....I am stumped, there is nothing I like about Mario, I guess the one thing I can come up with is that Mario was/is not physically aggressive, though he was physically menacing in a stalkerish sort of way, ala his treatment of Ben and Andrew.

I'd love to be able to say something positive about Mario. Wait, I can. He's out of Ben's life, that's very positive. But I don't think that's quite what you meant. Other than that, I am sorry, but there is not one thing I could find about Mario that I could honestly and truthfully say was positive. I cannot abide the man.

That's easy for me, I don't mind Ben, I wouldn't like him as a friend, but think he's interesting and he makes me laugh , his mannerisms and that wobble he does when he's self concious etc.
I hope he's learnt from big brother i hope he's changed and no longer feels the need to put other people down in order to feel good about himself.
If he was less bitchy, less judgemental I'd like him

I noticed the latest thread on Mario has been closed with an aside to move on as BB is over. Well this site is called 'This is Big Brother', and people who enjoyed the show still wish to debate aspects of it, as they would. So can I ask although as much as I wouldn't like this thread to be closed even considering there may be some close to, touching, libellous posts in it that for all I know may well have been brought to an ex BB housemates attention by now? as to why the other one was locked then, and this one not given the reasons outlined?
Thank you in advance for taking time out to read this and respond.

Odd you mention about the other thread being closed because 'The show is over'. If a thread is closed because the show is finished, that should effectively mean that the entire BB section be closed then for no one to be able to post on it.
What I personally didn't quite get, was that particular thread was about something very current, and real - for everyone to see yet because people were simply disagreeing - it got shut down. Yet this one that has been shown to be be as far from the truth as you can get, remains open.

Ben does not worry himself with the forums, twitter or such like, he would care even less for the ramblings of an embittered ex housemate who he would not give in to his sexual innuendo and harrasment, There is no truth in your post Laura, except for a mention in the WHATM thread that Ben supposedly said it of an 8 year old schoolfriend, everything else is your Imagination running riot, scandalasly so, Good job really that Ben is unlikely to give a toss, though I dare say that it could be proved if required exactly who thses posts are really coming from.

What's the truth? You have taken something Ben might have said in BB and gone on to state it is about himself he was speaking and that he has issues. As for posting on DS, I never realised you were a member there? What name do you post under there then if you don't mind me asking? And I have to wonder just why you didn't post it there, there must be a reason mustn't there? Maybe you realise DS being a bigger forum that you are more open to being challenged on this in a thread or that potentially libellous posts would be more easily recognised ?

I felt very sorry for ben that night that somehow he had been deprived as a child being sent away to boarding school and it had messed him up somehow
What were other people's thoughts on this?
You asked for my thoughts - well here goes.
As the Mother of a very balanced young man who, to paraphrase your words "sent him away to boarding school" I actually take great offence to that. It is a common and pretty ignorant misconception amongst those who are not privvy to that experience.
My son, now 23, LOVED boarding school and to this day, his best friends are those that he made there; the bond they have with each other is lovely to see. The decision was made mutually and has provided him with huge benefits. He had much longer holidays than his counterparts outside of the independent school system, as well as regular exeats every three weeks as well as home overnights. The price I paid in not having the everyday presence of my child has proved to be worthwhile. He is intelligent, well mannered & respectful, recieved a superb education and had the time of his life. He laughed himself silly for 5 years with friends that are still his best buddies to this day, and in no way screwed up. And by the way, no one ever wore nappies or for that matter, touched him inappropriately.
It may however engender a liking for older women. One of his friends had a girlfriend twice his age when he was about 17. His mates thought him very lucky to have got a bit of MILF experience under his belt. But seeing as the others just had very normal experiences, I wouldn't suggest that "being sent away" (it's not exile or borstal you know ) created a sexual preference for older women on mass. And the boy I refer to way in fact a friend. Not the operson relaying the information. Some people have friends you know, and tell amusing anecdotes about them. Exactly the way that I trust Ben told his amusing anecdote (that oddly, no-one else remembers hearing, but I'll give the benefit of the doubt on this point.)
I speak here from experience, not idle speculation.
You asked for our thoughts: these are mine.

Vicky, something isn't quite right. The thread that was closed, was only started yesterday, and was closed down within 7 hours - so Im unclear how it can be said that there were 'loads of reports coming from it every day'.... it wasn't even up for a day.
if half the posts on the thread were off topic, why are those who were guilty of taking it off topic, despite being asked by several members, to keep on topic, why are they not taken to task, rather than the thread being closed. It seems a very easy way of someone deliberately going OT, especially if they don't like the subject matter, they know that going OT will get the thread closed - and with their own posts being deleted so it looks like they have done nothing wrong -along with several of my own posts requesting that they stop going off topic being deleted.
Why punish the whole thread instead of those guilty of deliberately going OT, and who do so, knowing the thread will get closed. That's a wee bit unfair ?

It seems a very easy way of someone deliberately going OT, especially if they don't like the subject matter, they know that going OT will get the thread closed - and with their own posts being deleted so it looks like they have done nothing wrong -along with several of my own posts requesting that they stop going off topic being deleted.
Why punish the whole thread instead of those guilty of deliberately going OT, and who do so, knowing the thread will get closed. That's a wee bit unfair ?
Apologies, was thinking of a different thread :p
Still, now that I know which you were actually on about, there were a surprising amount of reports coming from that too :/
And if there had been just one person going off topic, then yeah...that on person would be punished...as it was, a few were going off topic.
Vicky.

Lol - yes it's called selective moderating - I get a warning for calling out the troll on the other thread, yet others get away with far worse than calling someone "thick" Mind you, it was totally worth it and I don't retract a word:joker:
You left out there how, in the post you were warned about, you, basically, called someone the 'c word' as well as 'thick'. You were lucky not to get banned for that, but we took into consideration some of the other insults that were flying around in that thread.

It's not up for discussion it was closed, as will this if you all dont stop insulting each other, discuss the old housemates by all means but flinging insults around isn't on. :)
Iceman, no offence, but you closed the thread saying that the show was over - when there still exists a BB forum. I understand Vicky saying it was bad choice of wording. However,Now I personally asked for a mod to intervene as it was continually being taken off topic and asked 'if it was possible that a word could be had' as I didn't want it to go the same way as every other thread that is deliberately taken off topic, which naturally, if a person continues doing so and are allowed to continue doing so, to the point that threads are closed, it does seem unfair.
I still don't understand why the thread has to suffer when threads being taken off topic deliberately, with intent on getting them closed, seems to be quite a recurring theme. That's my point. Clearly it's up to the mods to decide. But it does seem unfair. I'm only putting my own point over and not expecting a reply from you - the mods decide and that's it.

Now on the subject of boarding school..... I myself spent the last few years of my teenage years at boarding school in Hastings. It hardly traumatised me, indeed it did nothing but aid me in learning how to be independant and learn how to stand on my own two feet, without being mollycoddled along the way. So if some have this rather strange idea of boarding school being some sort of 'draconian punishment', I can assure you, I personally spent some of my best school days down in Catsfield Place.

thanks for your input, how old was your son when he was at boarding school?
12-18 but he also did some temp boarding at his previous school where he was a day boy from the age of 8 onwards.
I get rather cross at the insinuation that boarding schools produce unbalanced and perverse personalities - I've met hundreds of these kids over the years, and seen them turn into teenagers and adults, and bar one or two who have gone off the rails with the usual transgressions that affect all of society - they are no different.
BTW, "Thanks for your input" seems a little terse, considering that you implied that children that attend boarding schools are unwanted and inconvenient little people sent into some Kafkaesque exile.

I bet his parents were regretting sending him to boarding school, that does kind of back up my theory to be honest
Just noticed your edit.
Are you know suggesting that only kids educated in the private system have flings with someone older ? I don't think that is true at all. Knowing a lot of other kids of that age, it is not uncommon. Happens to boys and girls from the state system too, or is that too unpalatable to believe ?

Have to agree, it matters not where a person is educated. If they prefer older men / or older women - that's their own preference. It's hardly stuff that news flashes are made from is it!

Personally although I really don't want to get into parental choices and be over critical, there are always personal circumstances where it's maybe the better choice to send your child away to board at school but I certainly don't think it's mollycoddling to want to have your young children at home with you and give them all the emotional love and support they need when they are children, it might force a child to become an adult much earlier than is necessary but I don't think that's a particularly good thing

As I said before - speaking from experience - kids attending boarding school get all the love and support that other kids get and they don't grow up too soon, they just learn some essential life skills too. I speak of the hundreds that I have met over the years. Why would you think otherwise ? Assumptions and speculations from a point of no experience simply don't hold water with me.

Hi Vicky. Thank you for clarifying a few things :) Much appreciated. Although some stuff posted by one poster in particular is imo verging on libellous and surely that should be enough to close a thread when that happens?

Not something I would want for my child, but I know loads of people, and that includes my own state educated contemporaries, that had flings with someone older. When I was a new mother, I met a woman married to my husband's Chairman. She was in her 20's, he was 62. Just because you and I may disapprove doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

Given that I'll hazard a wild guess here, you weren't privately educated, nor have you put any children through boarding school, so you aren't in any real position to offer any real basis upon which to make such statements - you simply haven't had the experience that some on this thread actually have. the word 'force' doesn't come into it. Do you realise how banal that really sounds! let's look at this another way to show how blinkered that suggestion really is: - A parent who has to work abroad then, ie: father in the forces, based in the Middle East for months at a time - how do you suspect they manage to love and support their children that the don't see for months on end?

you all seemed really bored Going on and on about mario's lack of interest in ben I thought I might provoke a real discussion, Does boarding school mess kids up? Is ben's attraction to old ladies him looking for a mother? Is it a sad story of childhood need or is it a kinky story of adult fetish?
Lots to discuss
Ben is not attracted to old ladies though, what do you define as old?I think most of the ladies he dates are of his own age or less, the fact that he accompanied some older ladies to posh events is neither here nor there, though as an older lady myself i can see why anyone would want Bens company at such places.
Why get your mind in such a muddle anyhow wondering what someone elses preferences are, its not something I would concern myself with tbh unless it looked dubious or illegal, whatever this 8 year old child did.....and lets face it at the age of eight it would not be likely to be of a sexual nature, why does it as you say 'not sit well with you' why are you concerned at all with boarding schools, replacement mummies, or adult fetish.

You obviously know little of the system. You see them far more regularly than you suggest, and are in constant contact. Love and support are not exclusive to them being in a bedroom a few metres above your head.
Any parent who knows their child makes a choice that suits the personality and needs of that individual.

Besides which, that's not the reason you didn't put this subject up on DS. You know fine well that your inferrances were bordering on being close to libel, and they'd have been taken off the site as soon as you put them up, that's a bit closer to the truth - given that you were proven to be factaully incorrect in your opening post and subsequent posts. DS are very sensitive to being open to lawsuits. The fact that your first post made mention of this being a 'private place' - when in fact, it's on webland and is accessible - shows you didn't want it aired to a wider audience, as you had nothing to back up your story telling.

Whew.......that took a while to get through! I never attended boarding school, but my husband did and so did his siblings. His lot are a little more reserved than our lot, but much more independent, calm and measured, IMO. That's my near-personal knowledge of the subject and I wouldn't dream in 15 million years of judging any parents' decision in this regard. I'm flabbergasted that posters think its OK to be making the kind of tenuous amateur psychology connections that have been made in this thread. Flabbergasted.

I fail to see how speculating on a comment that was made is libelous...I may be missing the point entirely though :/
In fairness - if you read through from page 1, you will find that Laura was arguing on pretty near knuckle things about Ben and was saying it waws the absolute truth etc, the recent posts that are now being put up - completely are in total contrast to what was being put up yesterday from page one onwards - total contrast.

And what about the rest of my post Laura. Any chance of addressing that at all.....!
I think you are talking a load of baloney with the libel talk, Ben told the story not me i'm only commenting on it, I find the libel talk funny and a little desperate
why did you ask to be deactivated?
I will reply to you that answer in the same light if you choose to say who you post as there? After all, as you so rightly said to me, what interest is your username there, so what interest is my reason for deactivation to you then?

when ben told the story I was actually a big fan and it did make me sad, it was only later after loads of massive bitch fests I actually went off ben so you are wrong!
That does not explain why you have gone to such lengths on this thread to start nothing but malicious gossip spreading on a Housemate, based on utter fabrication, from page one onwards - your posts today are backtracking like nothing I have ever seen before.

Ben told a story that bears absolutely no relation to what you claimed was the absolute truth yesterday. It's here on this thread for everyone to see!

OK then, why don't you provide us with a link to that story?
He might like older women, lots of young men do. But I've always assumed it to be women in their 30's and 40's.
The older woman he had an affair with was actually 42, which really isn't that much older than him when you think about it.
Anyway does it really bloody matter at the end of the day?

Well if that isn't deliberately putting up a post with deliberate intent to bait someone, I don't know what is.
Hey, enjoy it, you're getting away with it ! Kudos to you !!

So the first one is just a news of the world trash story, which someone was paid to talk about, a third party. The second one far more factual and in Bens own words. So he seemed to enjoy being an escort, there is a lot of call for it for ladies, and I will bet Ben was very popular......must have earned shedloads and had the pleasure of some lovely venues and events.
So its basically as we said, that Ben escorted older ladies to posh functions, no dessert was on the menu and apart from one of his girlfriends mothers it appears he usually dates women much younger.
Is that it Laura, do you feel so much better for getting it off your chest dear, will you be able to sleep better now, I do hope so.

Sorry but yet again this has gone offtopic, with posters choosing to attack each other instead of discuss housemates
