If she was unhappy about what she had read then there's a time and a place to discuss it with him, and that's not on live TV in front of 16 million viewers when you're meant to be making a comment on the performance. The difference is though Wagner had given an interview to the paper, so it wasn't just a 'source said' type article. Of course the interview could've been purposely taken out of context - but it's a lot more believable and questionable when someone has given an interview themselves to a paper.

For the record, I believe Wagner's side of the story, but Cheryl had every right to bring it up seeing as before he explained himself, she was under the impression that it was true - in which case Wagner had slagged her off to the nations press. Even Ms Cole herself knows and has repeatedly said the papers get most of their stories wrong, she knows that for a fact especially since her own marriage troubles.
All she had to do was go and talk to Wagner offset and ask him for his side.
For goodness sake, even on the calls on XTra Factor Louis and Kian from Westlife had to correct the way a paper had said Louis was the former manager of Westlife rather than still their manager.

I personally am never likely to be popular enough to have the press want to talk to me or say anything about me but one things for sure, I would ask for clarification from whoever said anything about me 'privately' before I challenged them on it in front of millions of people on a talent show.

Also isn't Ms Cole pleading with the public 'NOT' to believe what they read in the press as to what Cher and Katie have done, have said or are saying.

Wagner said he didnt know the man was a journalist though. Either way it was impossible for Cheryl to know the full details of what he had said or why he had said it and that's why I dont really think it was appropiate to do what she did.

I personally have never been that stunned by her looks! The reason why I think she is held high for her looks in the UK is because to be honest (to me) she doesn't look very British. She looks like a Greek girl. If she goes to Greece or Italy she will get ****ted on!

I genuinely believe it's just because, well...people have nothing else to do. It's really quite boring to be honest. She could donate 500K to charity and they'd still find a way to find a fault, probably something along the lines of 'she only donated it to a charity SHE supports, not one that lots of people support'. It's really just a case of all of them clutching at straws and desperately trying to find things to pick at her for. Pathetic stuff, really. And I'm not even a big Cheryl fan - just indifferent.

If you actually read peoples reasons for disliking her you will find it's not DESPERATLY trying to find things to pick at (what is the point) but it's more a response to what she puts out there. People that don't have negatives to think about her probably buy into the romanticized version of Cheryl published daily in magazines. And if someone is thrust onto you everyday people are going to have an opinion.

Dannii makes some sort of comment that conveys how flabbergasted she is; Cheryl is openly rude to him and then Simon in the intro video tried a bit of reverse psychology it seemed to me; saying "it would be the end of the world if Wagner won" which to me suggests he wants people to vote for him more, and then spark an even bigger anti-Wagner movement, or trick people into not voting for him in some way. I really do think it's unfair on the guy, he's doing his best and he's being given such a bad time of it, worse than Katie's getting because at least she has the judges on her side. He deserves to stay because it's a big middle finger to everyone that's against him - so what if he can't sing? I genuinely find him entertaining and think he's a nice guy.

I was referring more to Alesha replacing a well experienced judge on a dancing competition despite only having competed in one series of SCD.
