Christmas is fast approaching with just over a month until the big day. So what would you like for Christmas this year? Planning to buy any friends or family members anything special?

I am not religious, so Christmas has no real meaning to me, will put some lights to my balcony, just because I like it, but no further decoration or tree.

Will spend the day with my husband at my family, but they are also not making a big fuss out of it, and we have stopped the Christmas-presents-terror already years ago.

So just a lazy day on the 24th (boxing day in Garmany), and I have to work at the 25th & 26th again anyway :joker:

All focused on my daughter. I don't want anything

Christmas day is always lovely though :) Full meal, tacky TV, presents, naps at silly times (cos I'm the one who wakes the house at 5am) and just relaxation come 7pm or something.

The only thing I really want is a decent Freeview box [basic: not fussed about recording stuff, HD-ready nonsense].

As for plans...just me, me ma, brother, sister & niece (and older brother at some point I should imagine). My other older brother used to come down with his family before he died, so last year was really quiet by comparison...what with Dad as well. But never mind. I had friends around for movies, games & drinks on the 23rd which was lovely, might repeat that. I remember one year we went to someone's house and had a go at cooking a Xmas Dinner from scratch, was pretty successful really!

Oh and Love Actually HAS to come on at one point. Essential. Along with Home Alone 2.

I'm not bothered.

When you get older it means less and less really.

Just loads of spoilt brats who don't actually know what Christmas is about, and instead are stuffing their goats with chocolate and mince pies and wanting all the time.

Its a pain in the backside you spend a month leading up to it worrying whether you have bought everything you need,You feel obliged to spend a fortune on crap that people probably dont even need or really want and i end up sat in a house full of screaming kids for the day that arent even mine!
Im just relieved when its all over.

They can go ****** really, Especially the people like my aunts and cousins who spend all your childhood years buying you Selection Boxes and Boxers, if they're expecting as much as a bottle of perfume of me they can go and ******.

Especially because all the boxers they use to get me were too small.

I hate buying stuff for people anyway even if they need about 75p to get a bus up to visit their dieing nan in hospital, I'd be like 'Um, No.'

People on here said they love seeing the faces of their family and friends when they buy them stuff, I find that quite cheesy really.

Yeah I'm the same, but I get annoyed if I buy someone something then they don't stop hampering on about how thankful they are. It can get annoying. I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't want to. I only need to be thanked once. The worst is, 'when's your birthday'. Almost as if they have to buy me something in return.

Yeah im a child around christmas, i get all excited, but giving someone something that you have thought of and they didnt think theyd get and the happiness on their face is one of the best parts of chritsmas.

I really wanted to do some volunteer work like helping the homeless or something on the 23rd and 24th but my manager wont give me time off.

Sorry to hear about your Father, i hope you have a great Christmas :)

This is first christmas without my great uncle, was like tradition to go down his house on christmas and he'd always get out sherry lol, we went down every year since i was about 6. So ive suggest we all go down and put flowers down :)

WOW. Talk about fulfilling the stereotype of teenagers being spoilt, ungrateful and rude. I suppose I shouldn't judge as your family’s financial situation may be different to many others, but I really do think £1000+ is too much to spend on someone, especially when they sport the attitude you do. If you have this attitude to your Mum all I can say is she is responsible for creating Frankenstein.

Try giving some back once in a while. You might like it.

JESUS CHRIST!! £1000 ISN'T ENOUGH?!!!!!

Its hard enough to convince my parents to spend over £150 on me. I can't believe you said that. And I though I was spoilt.

I thought I was bad. I have to save for my stuff usually. It took me six months to get enough money for my MacBook. My Dad could only give me £250 and my Mum gave me £200 to 'teach me a lesson' about saving for stuff.

Now I've asked for money for my Palm Pre 2 and my Dad is gonna give me £150 towards it for Christmas and my Mum is gonna give me £100. A Pre 2 costs £399 *sigh*

The 75p for a bus fair to someone who is visiting a family member who is dying is particularly shocking.

What I'd like for Christmas? Hmm... books, and I'll probably get some new clothes off people (or money on a voucher card).

And I plan to get my mom a book or two, my sis some perfume, her fiance I'm not sure yet. And I haven't a clue what to get my best friend.

For xmas day itself as far as I know it'll just be my mom and I, with my sis dropping over for dinner. I haven't asked my mom if relatives will be dropping by or staying (I really hope no one stays) and I'm pretty sure we're not going to visit anyone.

Anyway I'm really looking forward to helping to cook the meal. And pulling xmas crackers :D

My daughters been told she has £150 to spend and has opted for a phone and some games for the Wii and DS. I have to be honest I'd spend a fortune on her if I could because she has often gone without but I do as I can and if I can do more I will

Saying that, family and friends do spoil her too

Have only asked for Lost Season 1-6 on Blu-Ray, and 24 Season 1-8 on DVD. Can't really think of anything else I want that I haven't already got.

I'm in rather urgent need of a new pair of trainers and some new kitchen equipment for my flat, I'd also like some more Hugo Boss aftershave because I've nearly used up the bottle I got last Christmas. I get paid in a couple of days so I'm planning on buying my brothers and parents something nice for Christmas, it feels good to have earned money and to be able to buy nice things for my family! :)

I don't like perfumes/aftershaves. I prefer a wash and some deodrant :conf:

I'm a Ralph Lauren person at the minute.

Only because it is free for me, but I have loads of aftershave.

The second two are just the normal.

The first is an option which makes you smell nice.

You can smell clean, but then you smell fragrant.
