Boyband wars!

This week see's both Westlife and JLS release new albums. Last week saw Take that smash records with a 530k debut. So this weeks album charts will be dominated by all 3 acts. It's possibly the biggest head 2 head boyband battle ever.

Take that continue to rule, no surprise. Midweeks put them way ahead with JLS in 2nd and Westlife a distant 3rd. These are the overall sales figures as of yesterday(thursday);

1 Take That 123,000
2 JLS 100,000
3 Westlife 64,000
4 Susan Boyle 39,000
5 Rihanna 36,000

yes I knew it was 520 or 530k but couldn't be arsed to check. TT are certs to finish 1st with JLS 2nd. Those kind of gaps are hard to close these days.

JLS will pull further ahead saturday with their younger fans I think. Westlife have admitted they can't compete with TT or JLS anymore.

I stumbled upon a westlife forum looking for the sales figures so I did get a quick glimpse of the delusions and the TT envy. Members saying they will ask their mums to buy them 3 extra copies etc etc

Those boyband forums are actually hilarious. When somebody dares to say a word even slightly against their idols its like a piranha frenzy attack! lmao

If it's any consellation, I hate Westlife and I hate their fans. Silly people, support a real band, not a cheesy ballad cover group.

Well boyband fans in general are absolutely insane. I know from experience :laugh: I don't go on forums myself though,I know Thatters through Twitter and Facebook.

well Westlife fans are not happy bunnies. They were at least hoping to scrape past the 100k mark. Christmas is a big time usually for Westlife because they are a stocking filler for aunties and Grannies. :)
