I dont think it is just Wagner that has made the show a farce, the whole overblown media attention, the controvesy, the suspected fixes, the producers and cowell have wrecked a great show this year through their manipulation

year 1 / 2 even you would never have had the novelty act, the screams of 'fix', the media who*es who are turning it into a singing version of BB (i.e the simplicity of the show has long disappeared)

They manage to make a farce of it every year but the ratings are going up so what do we know?

I think this year the first problem came with them raising the age limit for over 28s and then bringing in the wild card. Even though its the quarter final its nowhere near as intense as it usually is with 5 acts. The over 25s were getting a bit of credibility with Ruth & Rachel in series 5 and the three last year but this year they've just been a running joke
