Simon seems to think Cher & her little raps are "current" (whatever thats supposed to mean). I cringe every time she attempts to rap, she tries too hard to be "ghetto". Lady Sov tried that crap years ago & it just dont work.

Simon has lost all his credibility... I don't think anybody cares what he thinks anymore, super

To American ears her 'rapping' sounds 'embarrassingly bad' and let me put it this way:
A Jon Stewart 'Daily Show' joke could be Stewart saying something like "even the english want to try rapping"
-cut to a few second of Cher-L rapping-
.. Stewart just makes a silly face and doesn't have to say anything as the audience chortles.
Because to American ears that sounds really funny, awkward, embarrassing.

Btw.. if he wanted to double-up the gag he could say something like "and they still keep trying Elvis...."
- cut to Aiden trying to do 'Elvis curls' at the end of lyrics-
Audience giggles with laughter.

No 'punchline' is needed because its obvious to American ears how bad and wrong it sounds. How funny the 'english accent' is trying to do those Elvis sounds but its all wrong.

But to British people Cher-Ls 'rapping' sounds good or 'close enough' or they think Aiden does have a really good 'Elvis' or '50s' thing he does lol

Now I know for sure it's a fix - the OTT praise of Cher was absolutely ridiculous - she was total and utter crap, and no amount of spin by Cowell and Co is going to sway the public who DO have ears.

Totally agree Angus they made sure they gave praise to every contestent other than Wagner , dirty tactics from Simon and Chavryl to get te great man out

WAGNER FTW

:joker::joker::joker: She looks the most uncomfortable performer I have seen in ages. As you say she looks like she really needs to go to the toilet.

I tuned briefly into Xtra Factor and the presenter was talking to Rebecca and Katie. Off to the side was what I thought was a stray street tramp looking vaguely spaced out and completely lost. She was also, for some reason, still sneering. Have they all completely lost their minds to think this talentless brat is endearing herself to the public? She is my new favourite word - diabollockable:joker:

I think she looks really comfortable on stage actually, the faces she makes and the leg thing is just her

You won't be happy later tonight when the result doesn't go the way you thought it would.
