I don't know about you, but I wouldn't pay money for tickets to her tour to see her stand in the middle of the stage in a black dress for two hours singing twelve ballads. Oh, and Gaga puts on a show [or, in your words, uses 'gimmicks'], so are you really saying Gaga is gimmicky, yes?

I agree Gaga uses gimmicks and owns the stage, this captivates the audience plus she gets them involved and they sing along. You want to make sure that people have had a good time watching your performance and not just stood to the spot;).
