What are you all like driving? Sensible drivers? Abit crazy, speeding every now and then etc? What do you love about driving?

I was always sensible on all the main roads but would sometimes go faster along the wider country lanes, on the motorway the fastest I did was 110 when it was near empty so not that crazy compared to some.

I loved being lazy when I drove and getting a drive-thru or something and eating as I would drive, I swear it's so much easier than eating in real life... no rubbish left to clean up afterwards like at home.

LOL !!

Nah... my first one bought in 2000. Second one in 2003 I think it was, and this current one, in 2006. Preferred the older shape compared to the one I have now, was sleeker looking, longer bonnet.

If I do eventually learn how to drive I want an old jeep, I don't care about the insurance

Heck, I hate cars in general. Something that gets me from A to B would be fine.

Im usually sensible becasuse petrol cost..
I done 125 and felt too uncomfortable so slowed down..

But its round corners that i do more wreckless things, right now its icy.. so i noticed yesterday i can slide pretty easy so was in tesco car park just leaving (not being a pikey we just went into the shop) but in second gear and floor it and can almost 360 so every roundabout i was drifting lol, almost didnt get it back in control on one of them lol.

Your car is so large, looks brand new and the all modern equipment inside!

When I met you the other day, if you had a time to come to my place, I was going to take you by car to save time.
But I was really worried that I might embarrass you to get into my car, honestly!

My car is Renault Cleo Mini Metro P registration, 1997.
That is not the problem.
The problem is the condition.
The body has a large dent somewhere and many scratch marks (by rose bush) around the door, and you can see the one of doors is slightly deferent colour (bought it from breakers yard as spare part).
My husband sometimes says when we are driving, "I feel our car is the oldest on the road"
Actually I like my car as it is very comfortable to drive.

But if I won the lottery, I would like to drive Mini Cooper, convertible.
Black top and the body will be metaric pearly colour.

Haha, I don't mind about how the car of a friend looks or how old it is, if he drives me, so don't worry about that ;)

I just have the stupid habit in "burning money" in buying a brand new car every 3-4 years  But I love this one, not sure if I will be able to get back to a non Turbo car again... You get so used to it

We have limited parts of the Autobahn that have speed limits of 130kmh (around 81mph) or 100kmh (62mph), but mostly there is no speed limit.

A Speed Awareness Course??? WTF???
So you had to do it because of getting caught to quick?

This is some information about Speed Awareness Course by Hertsfordshire Council. (my area)

*google*

Since the courses began in August 2006, over 16,000 speeding drivers have opted to take the course in Hertfordshire in lieu of points on their licences.
The scheme allows certain drivers caught speeding by safety cameras to attend the one-day course instead of receiving three penalty points and a £60 fine, or proceeding to court.

The courses are run by the county council’s Road Safety Unit on behalf of Hertfordshire Constabulary and are by police invitation only.
They are an opportunity to offer drivers help and advice in their awareness of speed limits and to improve their driving. They last for six hours and include both a classroom and practical session, costing the participants £105.
As the courses are run to a national syllabus, drivers who are offered the course can elect to attend any of the available ones around the country.

In UK, you are allowed 12 points, then you go on a ban, after 3 years your license will be clear. Somebody might be able to explain more details regarding ban.

According to the course's instructor, around 600 people are killed by speeding accidents every year.
It is something to think about, isn't it?

Just wonder how many people die because of stupid housekeeping accidents at the same time.
