IT was a time of Ordinary Boys. It was a time of tatty blonde hair extensions, cigarettes and nervous giggling. Welcome to Chantelle and Preston - the movie.

The Star reports that Hollywood types are interested in making a film based on the love story of Chantelle and Preston.
As an insider says: “Chantelle and Preston have something unique in their pairing in that Preston is this hip singer and Chantelle a down-to-earth model.”
But what of the film? Well, Working Title, the company behind the movie, want Chantelle and Preston to meet on a reality TV show. So far, so authentic. But then her career begins to eclipse his, and the film follows their highs and lows as they try to work things out.
And there are some key differences. If made in America, Preston could be altered from a Britpop signer into a rap star. Chantelle will be renamed something else, like Tiffany or Brandi.
Not that Chantelle wouldn’t be a hit in the States. A source says that Chantelle would be a sensation over there.
“Chantelle herself would be quite something if she visited Los Angeles,” says the source. “She’s so quirky and different.”
But would she really be that unique, as this source claims? Chantelle is as blonde as any Californian girl. She has even worked as a Paris Hilton look-alike.
And with her “OHMYGOD” catchphrase, Chantelle runs the risk of being mistaken for Jennifer Aniston, who with her innate grasp of the Chantelle vernacular would be a shoo-in for the film’s leading role.
