How about a subsection opened in General Chat for Debates? Like the smoking ban; it's always good to discuss and I think many members who prefer posting in meaningful topics will appreciate this.

Yeah, that's a good idea, General Chat could be kept for more light-hearted stuff, and The Debate Chamber can be kept for flame-wars. Debating. I definitely meant debating.
