No one outstanding on this series to be honest. No one who i think will go on and sell a lot of records. Anyone else think the show has found a star?

Compared to last year it has been very poor.. I wouldn't say it's one of the worst though that goes to #1 or #4

Compared to last year it's been amazing. I'd say it's not as good as the 5th series but it's close.

You can be honest but wrong. Matt is outstanding. There isn't anyone seriously part of the music industry who doesn't know Matt is high quality and there isn't any question of him getting work.
Matt has it better than other past winners or contestants in that he is so skilled and talented he will not need to rely on X-Factor promotion or 'cash-in' on the X-Factor window of fame.
Matt can disappear for a year working with a lot of producers and artists and at the level most of us are not really familiar with (you can say the real working core behind it all) and build a genuinely long lasting career over the next few years.
If you cannot even see how Matt is outstanding then it really makes me wonder how you perceive and comprehend music in general?
It makes me question your ability to judge music and talent and yet you feel confident enough to start topics 'identifying talent' (or not).

and to be clear - I'm not necessarily that interested in Matts style, genre and type of music,
but,
what I am saying is that it should be fairly obvious to anyone interested in music that this guy is well on his way to working full-time, successfully at what is the 'higher level' in the industry. This doesn't mean he is Michael Jackson or David Bowie,
but,
you should have been able to spot 'outstanding talent' when you saw it.

For all I know the guy is a dick. I'm not a 'Matt Fan' like I take his side like a team.
I'm just explaining to you he is definitely 'outstanding' in this.

Cher Lloyd will be successful.

This series started off with potential but has now ended in sh*t.

I agree, i think Matt is one of the most talented contestants this show has ever had on, not sure how anyone can dismiss him as untalented.

As for the rest, havent been totally blown away, still dont get the hype around Rebecca, v.decent performer but have not been blown away by a single performance. I also believe, although many people will disagree, that Cher is a talented performer/musician. She ticks all the right boxes for a pop star. Good singer, decent rapper, good performer/entertainer and also fits the look for a pop star. Give her a couple of years (Like Diana Vickers) and let her voice develop further aswell her attitude and i can see her sticking around for a while.

Matt will be a massive bomb, he'll just release generic Kris Allen type music.

Last year sucked hard. It had Jedward for crying out loud. This series is much better.

Although i still find it entertaining, i would prefer it to remain more of a singing contest rather than the drama it is becoming. I think people are becoming more and more irritated with how controversy is trumping talent on the show.

The final 16 was actually quite strong but yet again they've fallen victim to stupid narrow themes. But I think series 5 has unnecessarily set the bench mark and thats what people expect now, and with each series getting poorer and people becoming more and more nostalgic, thats something they need to rectify next year.

I don't think we'll be getting anymore novelty acts after Wagner.
