For me it was the very first one. This hype about a social experiment happening on TV with 10 strangers locked in a house sounded so interesting. The fact they had to make do without a lot of modern stuff (toasters, electric kettles, had to make their own bread and grow their own veg) was also great to see, as were the chickens!

I started watching at BB5. I only watched it cos it was straight after the Friends finale(my pre-BB pre-TT obsession) and I thought it looked interesting. The thing that got me hooked I say was Michelle and Stu. I'm an absolute sucker for romance and it's always been my favourite part of the show. Besides that I loved the tasks and the friendships and the funniess,it was just a really fascinating show.

BB5 for me as well. I'd say it was cos I was about the right age. I was 9 when BB started and although I did watch it, never fully got into it. Didn't watch 2&4, but it was 5 that really got me hooked. Fight Night :D

I started watching BB (Germany) since the first season in feb. 2000
It was a big hype, and it was all over the news, and I first thought "nah, not interested" but my boyfriend at that time loved to watch it, so, after he pestered me to give it a chance, I started to watch it from week 2. And because I really liked some of the housemates, I simply got stuck with it.
I watched the season 1/2/3 but for some reason lost interest in 4, but got back for season 5 (1 year long the best ever) because I had a broken leg at that time, and lot's of free time to watch.
Because that one was so good, I continued watching 6 (another one that went for a whole year)/7/8/9 and 10.
What always fascinated me, was how different the highlight shows where compared to the LF (which I had in all seasons), especially how much more Endemol started to influence the viewers in the highlight shows over the past years...
They have become a farce (The German "story line"-editing is much worse than anything they do here in the UK).
The whole concept and idea of the show has sadly changed a lot in Germany, to many special stereotype-casted-housemates (they got keen on having lot's of porn actors/actresses, z-class celebs, singer, models etc. in the house) Funny thing is, that the few "normal" people where most of the time much more interesting than those other "I don't care about the show but I want airtime" housemates
During the past years, I already watched BBUK now and then, but never regularly.
At launch night of BB11, a friend told me that the season starts.
I got curious and watched the show.... and because I really liked Moley from the day he entered the house I got myself the LF and loved it!
Lot's of people in the UK where moaning about how much BB has changed during the years, but for me, watching the British BB was almost a trip back to the good old days of Big Brother, because in our country the show has become something that has not much to do with the original idea of watching a bunch of people isolated from the outside world :(
I had a weird viewing pattern with BB
I watched some of BB5, most of BB7, all of BB8, none of BB9, some of BB10 and then all of BB11
Although while I didnt always watch the main show I think I watched all of the Celebrity versions from 2006 onwards

Just randomly turned it on one night, in Shilpa's one, and started watching it then.
Watched BB7, some of BB8, all of BB9, BB10 and BB11. And CBB6&7 I think
BB1, not straight from the start though it was the Andy v Caroline eviction ( think it might have been the third week in )

I watched most of season 1 but I didn't realise how much I loved it until the beginning of season 2. I was away in Spain for the two weeks leading up to the launch, and had been reading all about it in the papers. I missed the first few days and literally couldn't wait to tune in for the first time when I got home! From then on I bet I could count the amount of shows I've missed on both hands :joker:

BB7. I had a friend from the UK I was talking to while it was airing and they told me about Nikki and showed me clips of her on YouTube and how crazy she was and I became obsessed with her! I watched like every clip of her I could find and then watched Princess Nikki as well. But I never actually watched the full season until last year when I randomly stumbled across it on YouTube, and then I just became hooked.
But it's funny because I found out about BBUK and Nikki before I even watched Big Brother US. It's from there where I was like "oh we have a version of that in the us, I should watch it".
