Duffy's new album endlessly?

Is it any good? It's bombed in the charts selling just over 50k and entering at #9. Considering her last album was biggest UK seller of 2008 and sold over 6mill worldwide that's pretty bad. Mostly thanks to a flop first single.

Ive read very disappointing reviews. Apparently she's ditched the mangagement team that made her big and changed producers. No more Bernard Butler who is mostly responsible for her popular retro sound on Rockferry.

Amy, please take note. Don't cut out those who made you popular in the first place.

God its made me nervous about Amy Winehouses next album. Just hope she sticks with what she's good at. Thankfully, Im hearing good things about Adele's 21 album.

Normally 50k would chart much higher tbf. Peter Andre sold 20k recently and placed just one place lower at #10.

She never stood a chance really - her entire shtick was that she sang retro songs. That's not entirely original to begin with, so she was never going to win: she could either sing repetitive retro stuff, or new stuff and alienate her fans.

She came along at a time when it was 'cool' to be 'different' or 'old'. (sorry to use so many quotations :joker:) Thats the only reason she did well, it was just timed extremely well, plus Mercy was a good song but everything after that has sounded the same.

I like well well well the best but she is a fragile person so bad sales won't help her she went a bit crazy last time she was around, she is such a nice person aswell :(

The album seemed "endless" when I listened to it. Very disappointed because Rockferry will always be one of my favourite albums.
