Closing 4am really sux

It was not competing with the main chat threads , we had no 'swords' or cliques. It was nightowl chat begun in BB11 and continued that way

This will get closed (probably before I finish posting) but it was harming no one and in a totally seperate part of the forum. Also - strictly NO CLIQUES were allowed. Crap was left outside the door

OK it was a chat thread but there was never an issue before. Infact it was backed by most mods :conf:

During BB11 it was a neutral zone Jess - people whe were hating each other all day just chatted suger to each other. I don;t have a Novo sword to talk crapola and not in any of the 2 sides - 4am was 1 thread and harming nobody

Yes I know, I already said it did no harm. I think it was a good decision by the mods though, having two chat threads, just post in whichever, you don't have to be in a clique or anything, having too many chat threads causes divisions imo.

Maybe (and I'll be brutal) there should be one chat thread. Totally new (started by admin for neutral grounds) and you chat there or nothing

Some wouldn't though. I tried. But there were the odd few who just wanted to kick off....

Personally, I loved that thread. Bloody hell I started it enough times..

I know I only used it once or twice but it did just seem like a friendly place where anyone who was up at that ridiculous hour could go for a chat and it seems a bit odd that they felt the need to lock it

What I don't understand Josy is that it was closed, along with The Independence, to then be replaced with 'The Brotherhood' which is a member thread for people to support one member. Now moved onto the 'Novo Nighthood', but it is still aimed at one member. For new people visiting the site, it isn't clear it is a main general chat thread. It should be named something more chatty.

That was just the new name for the thread Thomas, and no its not aimed at one member, even the very first post by Novo points out that anyone can post in there, I dont see how the title of the thread or who created it makes the slightest difference, its a chat thread just the same, we were also considering creating 1 new chat thread at first but with the amount of pathetic childish arguments that keep getting carried on we decided against it.

Edited to add - And it wasnt replaced, the brotherhood had been there longer than both the threads mentioned.

I counted one time on C n G - there were a total of 27 members + 9 mods had posted on any thread page 1 anywhere. This was november - imagine 30 days after.

And in answer yeah unless they unlock 4am club!

Yes the Zeta thread was created after the 4am and Independents was closed, but it has been around for as long as the brotherhood/nighthood.
