View Full Version : Louis and Sinitta slate Cher

Louis and Sinitta were just interviewed on Sky News. When asked about Cher, Louis said:

"Now she's out, I don't mind saying she was my least favourite contestant from any series. She was unfriendly and ungrateful"

I was not a great fan of Cher, but am surprised at this

The show is over tonight - he can now say what he likes, and truthfully - he's had his paycheck - he's not gagged by Simon any more.

If he is being truthful, and I believe he would have no reason not to be at this stage of the game: it sums up what I've 'seen' in Cher since day one.

Louis could have voted for Paige because he went on about how much he liked hi he's got his own mind and also to spite Cheryl, it's obvious that Simon was planning to sign Cher up regardless of where she finished?.

From what i've seen I like Cher and there's no actual video proof of what she is like backstage apart from press stories or quotes, if you dislike her you will believe etc. Louis was all against nastiness last year when Jedward were being targetted:rolleyes:. I hear he said too that Cher didn't like the stylists telling her what to wear, good on her if she doesn't want to wear something she doesn't like or comfortable in.. he's obviously still bitter about Mary last week and of course there will be fix accusations but he won't care when Syco signs her up;).

Simon tells Louis what to do. Louis gets his paycheck, claps like an imbecile and gets the job done. To be fair, he doesn't seem to be bothered one way or the other so this comment by him on Sky News in an indication, I believe, of how truly unpleasant and ungrateful 'little miss needs to eat a bite' is. Sometimes, when the cover is particularly, rude, common and belligerent, you can read the book.

You cant really take Louis seriously given his track record but I can completely see why he disliked Cher. She'll end up starting beefs on twitter with people who dont like her and stumbling drunk out of nightclubs. She'll be in the Priory by the time she's 19. The next Kerry Katona.

Given that the judges comment on performances on stage, there is nothing wrong with Louis' comments, he could hardly have said "Look Cher that performance was wonderful, you deserve to be on the show, but you have to stop being such an ignorant, ungrateful twat offstage and develop a decent personality", without seriously prejudicing Cher's chances.

He made the personal comments about her after she had been removed from the competition. That actually says something about his professionalism unlike other judges such as Cheryl.

So you lap up Louis' negative comments on Sky News. The same Louis that praised Cher each week (that is until she was chosen over Mary) Then he slags her off. Hmmmm.

Will you lap up the positive comments by the voice coach? Probably not

Of course, there's also the Irish journalist who said on TV last week that he heard Cher telling Louis to "go ******* yourself" backstage last week. And him I completely believe. He was genuinely and convincingly gobsmacked by her behaviour, as was the female journalist on the same panel - from a different news organisation, who also witnessed a Cher diva strop backstage on the same night.
And about the TWIT (sic) from the twonk in the wigs - by the looks of it he's halfway to a P45 already, so he's hardly gonna p*** Simon off in response to some no mark TWITter-er, now is he?
And Louis is almost certainly an Old Queen, but bitter? Don't make me laugh. He's luxuriating in his X Factor paid-for luxury laughing his ass off at anyone thick enough to vote in this thing.

So two journalists eh, wow that's convincing.
About as convincing as todays Daily Fail story.

Oh and Louis most definitely is a bitter old queen.
He proves it every year with his spiteful, bitchy outbursts.

Your little theory about the voice coach only saying nice things about Cher because his jobs at risk doesn't work. Wouldn't Louis job be at risk for going against Cowell by slagging Cher off?

How do you find the practice of sweeping generalistions works for you in debating terms so far? 'Journalists covers everything from Pulitzer Prize-winning war correspondents to tabloid scumbags, so unless you saw the segment, I don't think you know who or what they were.
Louis' laughing all the way to the bank. He doesn't give two flying *******s what anone on here thinks of him and his dead right.
It's not 'a little theory', it's an opinion. That man was the only vocal coach at the start of the season yet, lo and behold, a couple of weeks later, here's Evie back. Hmmm. He's not on the show a wet week and Louis has been getting away with speaking out of turn for years. There's no comparison.

One was the editor of the Irish NOTW, no? Or atleast involved with them.
No sweeping generalisations there, tabloid scum is tabloid scum.

I love how you think what you're saying is fact. That Savan's job is under threat, that he's not important to the show because Yvie was brought back ect ect.. It's just your feeble attempt to discredit anything positive Savan says about Cher.

I can vouch from personal experience that NOTW reporters are actual scum of the earth who would frame their own families for a story, I'm not defending cher, I think it's possible that there is some truth behind the rumors because they come from so many different sources (loius, brian freedman, sinita etc) but really you may as well discount anything from a NOTW reporter.

Let's try a different approach. Do you ever remember Louis this clearly and publicly disliking any previous contestant? Even one? If the answer is yes, give me their name and what he did or said to make you think he disliked them as much. If the answer is no, answer me this, if she isn't the brat that very many people believe her to be - and we could deduce this based simply on her mannerisms and responses to Konnie, Danni, Louis et al - why is Louis responding in this way to her? Let's try debating the point without flinging insults, shall we?

Edit: Also, there were FIVE journalists on that panel, only one of whom is associated with NOTW. So they're all scum, are they? Do you know them or their work? Oh, and the channel it was broadcast on is owned by ITV. Are they scum too?

Louis on Danyl, “Danyl is vile. He’s everything I don’t like.”

http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/x-factor/louis-walsh-danyl-johnson-wont-win-x-factor/

I like the last paragraph - 'So is Louis telling the truth? I highly doubt it. Louis knows that Danyl Johnson is the one to beat, he knows that most of his acts are crap and this is his way of sabotaging Simon Cowell and Danyl Johnson. It’s a low blow and one I hope the public see through'

PMSL......so you believe the 'scumbag journalists' if they're saying what you want to believe, but otherwise not? And the setting and context are irrelevant, because, and here's where your argument is particularly strong - 'whatever'.
Look I'm no fan of Louis', but I believe every word of what both he and the TV3 panellists said about Cher. Why? Because it rings completely true for one of the brattiest, most smug and over-rated young performers I've ever seen anywhere. She's beyond ****e and I actually feel very sorry for her because the bang when she falls from that height is seriously going to hurt. You like her recitation or whatever it is that her fans think she's doing? Then the best of luck to you; but it's not my cup of tea and I've a pain in my jaw listening to smug and smugger telling us that she's the most original thing since Motown. Is she ****e. So you believe the tabloid hack, a good friend of one of the judges that mentors an opposing act in the competition?

Smear tactics used to keep Mary in the competition. That’s how is see it. Louis is that low. Only his scheming was a waste of time (nice one Simon) which is probably why he ended up having a rant on Sky News.

It certainly looks like Louis brought his feelings to the first of the live shows re Danyl. Why do you think he made personal comments? “You need to be more likeable. You don’t have the likeability factor.” That’s pretty damaging when in a show that has a lot to with personality. Bless little old Louis and his sabotaging ways.

Cheers for the unnecessary Cher rant...

In the interviews i’ve heard/seen on TV, Cher seems quite humble and realistic about her chances. When was she smug? In order for her to fall from a great height you must have seen her biggin’ herself up. Do you have a clip?

Didn’t the judges mean originality in the context of the show? That’s how i saw it anyway.

Anyway, my point was that you lapped up Louis comments about Cher and probably wouldn’t believe Savan’s. I was kinda right but instead you tried to discredit his positive comments as ‘towing the party line’.

So that's the comment that means she's going to fall from a great height? A comment that makes her smug and arrogant? I think you're being a little OTT in the way you're reacting to that comment. Everything I've seen of Savan thus far indicates that he's a sycophant. If he does something to change that perception, then that perception will change. There are a lot of negative things I could say about Louis, but we all know that he's well capable of speaking his mind, out of turn, occasionally. Cher's attitude towards Konnie I've found particularly disrespectful, by the way, but, hey, we all have different standards.

Fine if you think that. How did you reach that perception? Considering the small amount of footage there is of him. Anyway earlier you suggested it was because his job would be under threat.

How was Cher rude to Konnie? I've seen Cher looking awkward and nervous. Maybe it was that?

Matt's been nice about Cher..
