It was close between Matt and Rebecca!
Can't believe Matt even beat Cher the week she sung Stay, literally everyone was going on about it that weekend
Locke.
12-12-2010, 10:35 PM
Cher only 3% off beating One Direction
It was close between Matt and Rebecca!
Wasn't really that close

Cher :o
She would have gone against Paije if deadlock.

Yep, just as well Louis knew to do the right thing :)

Mary got more votes than Cher in the semi final too if it was down to straight public vote, none of this will matter now as reocrd deals loom...

Acts have been kept in the XF before when in the viewing figures later it showed that they had less votes than the person who went..
The voting figures count during the show but after the show they don't even make one difference as the acts fight to continue their dream!:)

Matt won it by a lanslide then.

proof Paije shouldn't have gone.
Am surprised how badly Wagner did every week.

Can't believe there were only 15 million votes all series
Vicky.
12-12-2010, 10:45 PM
According to the public then...katie would have gone first week :laugh2:
15 Million votes is ****e, thought it would have been something like that for the final alone

Confused as to why Cher has 6.65% of the 2nd vote freeze when she wasn't even in the competition then
IheartBB
12-12-2010, 10:50 PM
Gah, all this fuss about Wagner and he was never even close to topping a weekly show, let alone winning the whole thing! Same with Jedward last year.

Wagner struggled each week lol

12-12-2010, 10:51 PM

maybe because we had already heard Matt singing the 'first time' which was a show stopper and unforgettable

Jedward only had up to 15% of the vote, they also never came bottom of the voting even on the sing off they went against Olly, where they were second bottom.

15 million votes for one entire series is really poor considering how many people watched the shows
Surprised at Mary Byrne doing so well in the first few weeks

As much as I hate them, I'm surprised that One Direction didn't even make the top 2 in at least one week.

So the highly controversial wk5 cheryl missed vote shows how much of a fix this show is.
Treyc should sue the show organisers who cheated her out of the opportunity to advance legitimately and be on the tour.

So Cher was bottom the week they had the last minute sing off? Thieving fix of a show.
EDIT:No need to comment on the fact that TreyC wasnt bottom week5. I think we all sussed that

Shouldnt have been a sing-off at that stage though.

I agree it's harsh on TreyC but even being kept for an extra week, she might have gone the following week had she stayed and was never going to win..
Ironic coming from me as a Cher fan and my favourite got saved by the judges 2 times but she was marmite anyway and never going to win.. these won't make a bit of a difference now the acts are moving on to the next stage of their careers!

Yes, but i believe that was the cutoff for those going on the tour, so she has been denied the chance for further promotion and earning rights.
Im not too bothered about other weeks, as the judges vote system is something we are used to....butthat particular was manipulated as cheryl wanted to take it to deadlock and said quite clearly so....she was denied that and hence Treyc was denied further earning potential which she should employ a lawyer to look into.

The point remains. People got their panties in such a twist this year and last about these acts potentially winning the whole show and they never got close.

It just totally discredits the voting/judging system used on X Factor and it needs to be updated and changed in the future.

I think we're all hypocritical though because if our favourite finished bottom or got lowest votes the week someone else went we would be relieved and happy they are still in, whilst the other person might be another favourite or you don't like them so it doesn't matter to you but it does to their fans;).

Can't believe there were only 15 million votes all series
2008 series got 16,469,064 votes in total. Total figure for 2009 doesn't seem to be listed anywhere but the final racked up 10 million votes.
Thought you'd like to know. Seen as everyone's got X Factor stat-crazy at the moment. :p

if they had stuck wagner on early and moved katie to 3rd on the week aiden went,i have a feeling aiden wouldnt have been in the bottom two.
im glad paije kicked chers anarexic ass,and he nearly toppled wagner.

Loved how Matt won all weeks bar one.
Loved how 1D never was in the Top 2 despite the huge praise and screaming on fans.
Loved how Wagner was no where near as popular as we though
Didn't love the fact that TreyC went when she got more votes than Katie, same with Paije against Cher, and Katie during all those times, she would have been out in Week 1 if it went to deadlock, FYD would have stayed.

How about the fact the John got more votes than Treyc in week 3 but was eliminated? Of course you don't mention that :joker: This works both ways.

Some interesting facts;
Even though TreyC had more votes than Katie. it wasn't that big a margin. I remember at the time people said TreyC had 3 times the amount of votes Katie had. Total nonsense
People said the producers didn't have a double elimination in week 3 in an attempt to save Katie but the results show a double elimination that week would have meant TreyC was axed straight away and the sing-off would have been between Wagner and John. Wagner would have gone far sooner than he did.
Mary was shafted by the producers, Simon didn't want Mary beating One Direction to 3rd place.

he wasnt that far away from the weasel, which the weasel should have kicked nicolos butt considering she was one of the biggest talking points of this series.

I'm almost a bit disappointed by these figures, they were quite predictable for the most part, not much variation from week to week.

Treyc wasnt bottom :')
On week 5 true. The aggregate of all five weeks to that point got Katie on 17.75 = 3.55% average. Treyc came in at 16.7 and averaging only 3.34%. So in fact the public preferred Katie and she stormed to second place week 7, who would have funk it.
The lying about Katie's lack of support is now exposed.

Yes, that explains why she was in the bottom two 5 times. Good choice, Cheryl......
It was close between Matt and Rebecca!
The gap was closing all the time.
The INTERESTING WEEKS are 5 and 9 (obviously!). Also notice that One Dimension were ahead of Rebecca for the first 4 weeks, but never afterwards. Cowell and that biased One D audience really did try and pull the wool over our eyes and ears!......they never threatened the top two in the final, did they. :nono:
It was close between Matt and Rebecca!
I didn't notice this! Is quite close!
