If so - why? I've never really understood it. OK theres more about and I can understand the odd few choccies more and a nice meal to celebrate but why eat for the sake of it? It's estimated people consume 3 times more calories than usual on Xmas day!

I definitely eat more, for me it's purely because I love to eat and I love food, and I take advantage of the fact that I get way more food on Christmas day, I know with the chocolates and stuff you should be all blah blah pace yourself~, but my willpower sucks so I end up eating stuff anyway.

Yes. A Lot more. For me it's a case of having a lot of chocolate to eat. We always have loads of Xmas nibbles around the house (peanuts, party rings etc.) and it's just there for the taking. Then I go to my dad's on boxing day for another roast, and then to my nans on the day after boxing day, where she cooks up a roast too.

Yes because you get loads of choccie and nibbles.

Also the Xmas roast dinner is bigger than ya normal Sunday one, well, ours is lmao.

Well we don't have Sunday dinners normally. I don't know actually cos I'm an vegetarian Christmas aren't exactly the best food day going. It's veggie fry-up in the morning, then some M&S food and potatoes for 'lunch',then loads of chocolate,so more than I would usually eat but nowhere near 3 times.

Nope, cus I don't eat chocolate and I don't really snack at christmas either. Like you have a massive lunch, then you're stuffed for about the rest of the day until dinnertime... then you eat more and don't even want supper later. It's just like a normal day really.

Yep - I eat like a pig I'm afraid. :(

Received a goodie hamper from work last week, full of gorgeous luxury things (and not some of the crappy stuff). Was full of handmade Belgian chocolates, handmade double choc biscuits, mint creams, champagne truffles, 2 bottles of wine etc....... the only thing I've got left are: 2 bottles of wine, a game, box of teabags (!!!) and the champagne truffles.

Waiting on food shop arriving today and you'd think I was feeding half of Scotland with what I've ordered.

ach....it's Christmas!:spin:

More calories yes, more actual food, not really! I think it's just because there's more food about to pick at, and it's more fattening, that's why the calorie count for people is that much higher!
