yeah jords, jack doesnt understand this is the apprentice, not big brother. Same for the X Factor too, it's a singing contest. the BEST businessman/woman should win. That was NOT stuart. Stella rightfully won.

Same old sh!t is boring Jack, business is nothing to do with being controversial, or just being a general pr!ck in their cases.
Also Stuart got to interviews, so I dont know what youre on about getting further, seen too much of him as its bloody been.

I just find it irritating reading the same argument just for different reality TV shows, espicially when it shouldnt apply at all (TA and TXF), IAC and BB fair enough but leave it at that, Christ.

And Stella isn't? Chris was a much better candidate than her...

No...but television is. Sadly, whichever way you cut it - it's an entertainment programme. Its main purpose is to entertain.
It's pretty much the same for every TV show there is. That's the purpose of TV.

Should've made the Final, or, at the very least, should have been invited back for the Final.

Read this about 5000 times across the forum already, and no, its not BB, it doesnt rely on the people to be entertaining, but the tasks and process.
Yes Stella was interesting, Chris was shocking.

Thought Id add a few more of them as its your favourite emoticon when it comes to this debate.

Erm, calm down...
I know it's not Big Brother. But of course it still relies on the people to be entertaining. That's the driving point of the entire show. The candidates. Lord Sugar is another, but the candidates are the main focus. And dull candidates would not drive the show to success. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. It's still a cast, much like how Big Brother has a cast.
Entertainment overrides anything else when it comes to the purpose of almost any television show.

I can of see both of your point's of view.
If we were watching a bunch of boring people for the past 2/3 months, then why the hell would we be watching it. It's considered entertainment for a reason.
But it's true Jack...You always have a thing for the controversial characters. :p

I just dont think you understand the main purpose of different TV shows, this is about the different qualities each candidate has and how they work together and ultimately, whos best for the job! Your so stuck in a BB frame of mind to think Stuart deserved to make the final let alone win just because he was controversial (I dont think thats the case with BB myself, but each to their own, more acceptable for BB that The Apprentice anyway!), which is quite sad. Obviously fiery ones like Stuart, Dan, Paloma, Melissa add another dimension to the show and produce rivalery/arguments but that still developed even without them - just not to a greater scale.
This is not a comedy or drama programme, its about talent and most people enjoy watching talent. Talent is 'entertainment'.
Personally I think you support the ''baddies'' of reality TV shows to give yourself an online persona of being a hard type of person, cant take it as fact but thats definitely my opinion on it.

Well, I was relieved in week 2 when Joy or whatever her name was went (nothing against her.) But in a Big Brother style eviction, she'd have been safe cos she'd fall under the radar. Sugar noticed she could quite well do this and got rid. I do agree it's a shame Melissa and Shibby went earlier, but they were both crap on their final week so their firing was deserved

Stuart outstayed his welcome, by about 8 weeks. It was just the same thing week in and week out.

Sorry, but I'll say it again. Entertainment overrides any other purpose when it comes to TV.
Big Brother was an entertainment programme disguised as a social experiment. The X Factor is an entertainment programme disguised as a talent show. The Apprentice is an entertainment programme disguised as a business programme. There are different forms of entertainment, yes, such as people who watch Songs of Praise are entertained in their own way because it's programme targeted at a specific audience.
But even so, I can accept that Lord Sugar still has to give someone a job, so it has to be based on business to some extent. But even then...I still don't think Stella was the best candidate for the job. Liz was probably the best this year, let's be honest. Or Chris. But not Stella.
Personally I think you support the ''baddies'' of reality TV shows to give yourself an online persona of being a hard type of person, cant take it as fact but thats definitely my opinion on it.
Erm...no. Because I have stated time and time again on this forum that the type of people I support are the type of people I would avoid in real life. Because I realise they're arrogant, nasty *****s, but I also recognise that they make good television. They're two very different worlds. I'm completely the opposite type of person to what these people are in real life. And no...I don't want to be like them either, before you say that. It's not about having a 'persona' at all, that's one of the most laughable insults I've ever read that has been directed at me. I can accept most insults, but that....LOL. Just stupid. I support them because they make good television. I really fail to understand how that is me trying to give myself a 'hard' persona, I mean...really?
Television and the real world are two very, very different things. I find it hard to comprehend how anyone could mix the two up.
It's like saying that because I would want to see a murder storyline in a soap, because it's entertaining, that I would also want to see my family/friends be murdered in real life...because that's entertaining. Do you see exactly what you're saying here? It's just stupid.

No lets not be honest, lets just give our opinions and not try to force your own on other people. Liz was definitely 1 of the best, but so was Stella in my opinion, Chris made several mistakes which ended up working out but were seen as 'great business instincts', he was given credit for taking risks... no, he just lacked coming up with ideas so had to go with whatever sh!t he first thought of, and on a whole was just incredibly awkard. However his pitch yesterday was not bad, but he didnt deserve to be in the final by a long long shot. You liked him for whatever reason and Im fine with that, but just because I didnt find him the best doesnt mean I want him replaced by somebody who was contraversial/pr!ck just for the sake of it. He was far better than Stuart and Dan.
