Would you choose yourself as a friend and if so, why? What do YOU bring to a friendship?

For my part I offer unswerving loyalty, considered advice and a shoulder to cry on any time, night or day, and I always put myself out to help a friend. On the other hand I am opinionated, irritating and can bore for England on certain topics like my kids.

I think so - I've always thought that people are attracted to similarities and things in common when choosing friends so I suppose a lot of my friends have some bits of me in them - but are different in loads of ways also which is good because they can help me with their different perspectives on stuff. I think I have high standards though - which I consider a bad thing because I am often disappointed. I know lots of people, 'aquantences' I suppose people would call them, but there are few people I am close to

I think I make a good friend once I have befriended someone I am fiercly loyal,I have a lot of aquaintances but only a few real friends,I am opinionated too and don't suffer fools gladly,but I will help anyone out if they need it,I forgive quite easily,only a few things I never forgive and they have to be really bad.I can be sarcastic and say things tongue and cheek sometimes and often this gets taken the wrong way,If I think something is right I will not backdown and if I think something is wrong I will say so.I love my friends and they know it,it takes me a while to make friends so I relish each one I call a friend.

What I bring to a friendship? Hmm... I'm a good listener. I can be fun. I offer advice if asked, plus I'm not judgmental.

But friendship with me can be work, at times I'm neurotic, sometimes I have real low self esteem and I can be pretty reclusive. I guess I love spending time alone. And I've always found it difficult to follow what is going on when I'm in a group.

As to would I choose myself as a friend and if so why? Well I'm not sure. My bestfriend is not a complete opposite to me; but she is far more outgoing and amiable. So having someone the exact same as me as a friend I don't think would work.

I'm not really sure why, but I just feel it would turn out fairly bad.
