When we collide:
First week sales- 439,000. Outsold #2 by 4x (Rihanna and Drake received just over 100k, Surfin Bird received a tiny 68k despite a huge campaign)
Second week sales (from only Sunday and Monday)- 80,000.
We do not know the sales from yesterday though.
So as of 9 days= 519,000 sold. Is already the 2nd biggest selling single of 2010 behind "Helping Haiti", but is very likely to overtake as the biggest single of the year.
It is possible he will hit 700,000 by the end of the week. That is brilliant :D
Despite only coming 5th out of 7th in the biggets first week sales for winners singles, looks like he will beat Leona, Leon and Joe in 2nd week sales. His 2nd week sales are going very well, judging by selling 80,000 in just 2 days.

Yes we know. That's why he's getting higher 2nd week sales, not everyone buys a single in the first 7 days.

That is excellent as many people have said the weather has prevented them from going out and buying it and those that did manage to get out said that it was sold out,so shops had not got enough stock in,so all in all it has sold really well.

He will still flop
He will still flop
It's fair to say that it is far more important that he can still selling records in a year, two year's time than any kind of numbers sold by his winners single.
Fingers crossed for a long pop career but, as I always say, winning the X Factor doesn't not win you a career in pop music.
In the long term, I still think Leona Lewis will be the best known X Factor winner that will still have hits in 5 years time.
