Just thought i'd set up a thread for these postal delays

Im so annoyed that ive had 4 packages held up by it, 2 were sent before any snow hit the UK what is going on!!

Tracking online doesnt show any progress and to top it all off they are xmas pressies!

Vent your anger if you have had problems too!

Ordered presents for birthdays on the 2nd of December, the birthdays were on the 15th and delivery was meant to be within 3-5 working days of placing the order, they eventually arrived on the 14th, cutting it very fine! I really hate the snow!

Dispatched means how long it will take to be packaged and sent out the wherehouse, not delivery speed.

thats not what im saying at all, our postmen have been out every day, i'd understand if they were stopping the postmen going out, but they are still working. I'm not sure where the problem lies, probably with road gritters once more. Like at heathrow, they couldnt cope, nor can the rest of the country by the looks of it

It was not Just Heathrow
many Airports in Europe also closed.
The Jet Stream changed its Route. (and it could stay this way for the next 300 years)

They are stopping some Postman.

Then you go to the Sorting office.

I've just realised this is the first time we've ever disagreed on a matter arista.

I think if anything im just frustrated theres no update on my packages as to where they are.
I do understand the weather was bad and being christmas makes it 10 times worse, but some of my parcels were sent way before the snow and still managed to get caught in it.

I took no chances with presents and just bought them at the shop rather then online.

Funny, we had far worse winters than this when I was a kid, and the post got delivered, trains and buses ran, and life went on without a whiff or hint of the elf and safety brigade putting the frighteners on everyone.

I trudged up to my local delivery office in the snow (a mile away), and demanded my mail which I hadn't received for a week because the poor ickle posties couldn't venture out in the snow in case they fell over. How about the Post Office just issuing them with some strong wellie boots and a large spoonful of common sense so they can do the job they've been paid to do and deliver the parcels and mail that people have paid good money to have delivered?
