Take That were due to perform "Kidz" live on The X Factor Final on Sunday, December 13, however the dance routine featured protesters fighting with police with riot shields, forcing Simon Cowell to deem the performance as 'inappropriate', as there had been severe student protests going on at the time, and force the band to perform 'The Flood' instead

I thought it lame that they had them repeat an earlier performance for the final. makes more sense now.

Oh right thanks, I'll go have a listen to it. They didnt really have much of a routine for The Flood so I dont see why it was so important but I guess they felt they couldnt do the song without it

Don't buy what? I know they were deffo supposed to do it because 2 dancers and their guitar player tweeted about it and I saw pics of the shields they were going to have use.

well you obviously know more than I do but why not just use a different dance routine or like some one else said sing it without the theatrics then? they didn't use any theatrics for the flood after all

Well that I don't know. Kidz isn't really a song you can just stand there and sing though,it would be based around some sort of routine. Maybe they thought they couldn't really do the song without it and they thought it would just be easier to do The Flood.
