Jessica Cornish (better known as Jessie J) was born on March 27, 1988 in Essex. She always showed a clear musical talent, performing in the West End in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of "Whistle Down The Wind" at age 11. At age 15 she joined the BRIT School, and joined a short lived girl group at the age of 17. At age 18 she was signed to Gut Records but the record label went bankrupt before releasing any of her music. Shortly after she was signed to Sony as a songwriter and wrote hits for Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and "Party In The U.S.A" for Miley Cyrus. She is now writing material for Britney Spears' upcoming March album. She was signed by Universal Republic in early 2010 to release her own album and her debut single "Do It Like A Dude" is currently racing up the charts in the UK. She is topping all of the 'One to Watch' lists of 2011, and will be awarded the Critics Choice Award at the BRITs in February. She has also been nominated for BBC's Sound of 2011 poll. Her debut album "Who You Are" is expected to be released in March 2011. Ch-ch-check it out!

How is Christina a nosedive flop? Just because Bionic didn't have massive sales, it still managed to get to #1 in the UK. Jessie J won't be here in five years time, she's good for the current music scene but does she have longetivity? I don't think so

it still managed to get to #1 in the UK.

hitting no1 in itself does not make an album successful. If you have a certain fanbase who rush out and buy on first week then you will debut high.

but real hits hang around for months in the top 10. They dont plummet after a week.

you have no idea how long Jesse will be around. From what I can see she has all the talent needed to sustain a long career. But the music biz is never predictable.

The last 2 are terrible, not gonna lie. Obvs some tracks will grow on me, but atm Id give the album 7/10 Its not consistant in quality but has some really good songs (1-7).
