More dead birds!

First there were dead birds in Arkansas. Then in Louisiana.

But it’s not just America that God is trying to send a warning to. It’s Sweden, too, apparently.

Shortly before midnight on Tuesday, residents found 50 to 100 jackdaws on a street in Falköping southeast of Skövde. The incident echoed a number of unexplained incidents earlier this week across the southern US.

County veterinarian Robert ter Horst believes that the birds may have been literally scared to death by fireworks set off on Tuesday night.

Okay now it's getting out of hands, someone tells me what the hell is going on with birds right now. I may understand why God would like to punish the US (who wouldn't see why...) but Sweden??? That is ****ed up.

I remember a few years ago it was raining fish over a town near me. I think it was due to a hurricane or something.

Oh I remember reading about something like that before.. Think there had been a huge tornado over the sea and it had sucked loads of fish up on it's wayor summat?

I hate fish and the thought of them falling out the sky is actually my worst nightmare.

What kind of birds was it in Arkansas? Weren't they all the same? ANd now they're all jackdaws in Sweden? That's surely even stranger than the fact that there are birds falling out the sky at all??

it' not bizarre. it's prolly hapened a million times before in history. having a global news media is bizarre.

Think of all the times these kind of events have happened before, the only difference is now we have camera's everywhere and a global news media. That's the only difference.

They're getting absolutely wasted, flying up, having a party, forgetting they have wings and falling to their death.

This is why birds shouldn't drink.

they got cold. i think, same with the fish, they got too cold.

Blame China, they are killing the world with their carbon emissions.

It's all part of climate change.

China is killing the planet for their own economy.

It'd be documented if it had happened before (at least in living memory), it's got nothing to do with the media :bored:

I don't see why they don't just fly to a nest to die peacefully at home or something, rather than taking a risk and flying about the skies when it's freezing and they're clearly sick.

I wonder if anyone's got hit up the head with one of them yet?

"In the US, New Year's Eve fireworks were blamed in Arkansas for the deaths of thousands of blackbirds, and a few days later power lines were blamed for killing about 450 birds in Louisiana."

We can all go back to normality now and stopping planning our next loot. :amazed:

I remember when I went to Belgium when I was about 15 there were fields littered with dead birds, they'd all flown into nets over next to some crops
