Its this kind of thinking that is one of the main problems round here. Don't you lot get it? We shouldnt HAVE to dish out bans left right and centre. People should be able to just listen. We dont like banning people, and you dont like us banning you...

Bans would be the only way to deal with the spamming...as a lot of people have stopped listening totally. Meeting us halfway would be the first step towards getting what you want

His words were 'I'm going to disable post counts for this forum to stop people spamming and see how it goes for a few weeks.'


Well James, here is the conclusion:

1. Surely if people were as desperate as you think, We'd of 'Spammed' in General Chat.

2. Any sad bitch that was desperate for post counts, isn't anymore as TiBB is dieing.

3. It's been 9 Months, I think it's time to change it back now seriously.

4. May I please ask what the big deal was in the first place? People posted alot in Chat and Games, and for some reason Mods and Admins think this was to boost their post count? You would probably see someone saying 'Hello' or 'Hey' in The Loft, obviously we have to know they are there to engage conversation with them.

Are you forgetting that before the switchover, c&g posts didnt count? (Oh, and to add to that, noone cared) And that it was an error that they counted anyways, because it was meant to be the same as the old forum? :laugh2:

Fair enoguh you think it's unfair but what about the people that are consistently spamming the forum? So much so that we gave them threads to spam (more than 1) and yet they refuse to use them and just spammed elsewhere. (this isn't aimed at you btw just a point that keeps coming up)

But in reality it doesnt happen like that. nearly every thread turns into a general chit chat thread/argument/gif war.

As I said earlier, if people would be willing to meet us halfway (eg. Stop taking nearly every thread off topic, or spamming gifs) then it would be more likely that post count would be added back.
