Basically a stargate is like a wormhole, meant to be some kind of link between planets/universes and that.

They reckon theres one in iraq, and this is the real reason we went to illegal war, and also why the somali pirates are hovering about...

Some ancient 'tablets' were found talking about a race called the anunnaki who were esentially aliens...and people think these aliens created a stargate to travel between earth and here, but sealed it when the left, but its meant to have been discovered now.
