Principal Owner John Henry commented: "We are grateful for Roy's efforts over the past six months, but both parties thought it in the best interests of the club that he stand down from his position as team manager. We wish him all the best for the future."

I seem to remember from Kenny's time at Celtic with JB that he's better on the golf course than at the Training Ground/Stadium these days.........be afraid, be very afraid!

It's only until the end of the season he is manager either way, and there is no way he can do worse than Roy. Especially with him having time and money to get players this month.
Plus this will give the squad and fans massive boost (especially with us playing Man Utd tomorrow)

So did they sack Roy because they knew they'd lose tomorrow which would add to the humiliation and if Kenny gets any sort of result it looks like a great move by the board? Either way I see a loss for them tomorrow. Glad he's gone though.

If Roy was in charge tomorrow I was actually expecting to lose about 6-0.. can actually look forward to the game now. Still think we'll get beat like but it will be a good game.
Kenny's first home game will be the Merseyside derby on the 16th :)

Dalglish hasn't managed for ten years. :s Sounds a bit like an effort the appease the fans. Wouldn't be surprised if they got a result tomorrow now though, with the temporary boost a new manager brings.

If i was Liverpool i wld get rid of torres in the summer and rebuild the team with the money they would get from him. Yes he is a good player but he is to injury prone and when he is not injured he is playing like a piece of ****

I hope that Dalglish manages to turn it around because if this mess continues he'll be replaced by the next Liverpool legend they can think of:joker:. Roy had to go though!
