They have been engaged for a couple of weeks now and I don't think anyone on here really knows.
Nathan asked Rachael to be his wife just before New Years and of course she accepted and updated her Facebook status to 'engaged'.
This is basically a massive slap in the face to you bellends out there who said they were only together for the fame and attention, Big Brother 11 is long gone and both of them were out of the house very early, if they were really only together for fame why the hell are they still together and getting married when no magazine is interested?

It's weird thinking though that they weren't even a couple in the house, and the start of their relationship actually begun infront of our very eyes on Big Brother's Big Mouth.

Nice of you to call members Bellends isn't it. As for those who said they were only in it for the fame, I haven't seen where that's been said? But then I have only been a member here a few months and can't be a**ed to go through the older threads. The only person I can remember stating Racheal especially was in BB for the fame of which he has been proved wrong, is that bellend, JJ1, who is a fame hungry **ore.

I didn't think they were doing it for attention or anything i just genuinely didn't think they would last as i think they're a bit of an odd couple.
Good luck to them though, i liked Nathan and Rachael.. well, i didn't really have enough time to judge her.

John said in an interview that they'd be making a show together, I'm not entirely sure if that's the name though but it's on Channel Five again like last time and that was the same name as the Documentary that was on about them a few months back.

With Nathan and Rachael I'm not surprised they haven't tried to get any money out of their engagement... because very few people care enough. Neither of them were exactly big stars after BB

I forgot they were a couple and then I remembered when she came back in the house and John James was a d!ck to her and the aftermath of how he was oh so so close to walking unless BB got Nathan to speak to him lol.
Anyhow, surprised they're still together given how short most BB romances are but good luck to them.

I am shocked they don't do the magazine deals. What do they do now? Is Nathan back at his joinery work? Rachael still modelling? Maybe she will go back to hairdressing?

I would go for the magazine deals if I was offered. People judge. I couldn't care if people thought I was "faking" it. You are always going to get people with different opinions. To be honest.. I think you are right Laura. I have a feeling Rachael and Nathan were not offered any magazine deals. Mmm. But don't know that for sure. However I believe Josie and John James are even more fake than Rachael and Nathan. There are other couples who hogged the magazines that I thought were genuine. Chantelle and Preston, Nikki and Pete at the time.
The most genuine couple seems to be Mikey and Grace. However I am a bit skeptical that apparently they waited a few years to get married for a magazine deal? Mmm. I am sure that's not the only reason. They are both sensible and just wanted to make sure. They are still together now after 4 and a half years. I hope they have babies together. I do think they both will get divorced though a few years down the line. Maybe a bit more. Just because half or marriages or is it even more now? End in divorce!! I hope they can prove me wrong though.

plus, they were the first couple to come out of BB so at the time they wouldn't have known that being a couple was a good way to stay in the lime light anyway. Their relationship was so sweet and innocent to watch as well (eventhough Helen had a b/f at the time tut tut!!)

Yeah I thought that, neither were big contestants, Rachel was in for a week and did a couple of Nuts shoots, Nathan was booted out quite early and did nothing notable in his time there, I dont know why anyone would care about these two enough to give them a deal anyway

I think, looking back at it, most of the relationships formed in Big Brother have been real. It's just that some of them weren't all that long-lasting, but that is not the same as fake. I couldn't even say which ones were fake. There's not much real incentive for people to keep up a pretense, especially past a few weeks - it would be too difficult and they would have to give up too much.
I guess it comes down to whether you liked them or not in the house. If you liked a couple you don't mind seeing them successful outside the house, if you didn't many people won't want them to be successful so will say they're fake. Doesn't mean that they are that though.
