i wish i was a banksy

in kentish town i thought i saw a impression,
pure humour was my only expression.
by the kebab shop, just over the bus stop,
fast asleep was the graffiti cop.
was banksy being bold, or is someone kidding,
if its a impostor, this art i am forbidding.
more attention has got to be good,
banksy in Camden, is free to tag the hood.
interest, disgust, rage, glory, hope, the emotions are rife,
i hope banksy gets into Camden's peoples and the readers life.
this person is art and the genera i adore,
the Joe wishes he was banks, as the point being made never has a flaw.

(the joe was passing through a london town when i spotted a bit of art just gone up and it got me thinking and i put this poem togther lol just woundered has anyone on tibb message board ever heard of this artist and what are there views on his current bit of work ?)

Some of it's very clever. But there's a ubiquity about his fanbase and work now that somewhat irritates me - it's spawned wannabes, it's feeding stupid political beliefs [a lot of the CCTV, war-based works seem to get the most attention] and the work itself isn't actually that artistically brilliant.

Defacing other people's property and/or public property isn't artistic, clever, insightful or inspiring, it's unsightly vandalism. He's a pretentious twat.
