View Full Version : Things to do before you die!

Things you want to do / see / accomplish before you get too old or before you pop your clogs?

Me? I want to do an Alaskan cruise -to see the whales.

Also the Pyramids - been close but not close enough.

Be mortgage free and actually own my own property outright. *six years and counting*

Own a beachfront property abroad (most likely never to happen).

What would you like to happen in your future that you think is likely?

In my 20s I worked as an Assistant Purser for P&O on the Island Princess which sailed out of Vancouver and visited Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Glacier Bay and I not only saw the whales but the most magnificent glaciers, and I was lucky enough to be able to retrace the old klondike gold rush trail by train from Skagway. I visited Bear Island by helicopter and ate fresh salmon straight from the river. Definitely a fantastic experience.

10 years ago I took my sons with me for a fantastic holiday in Egypt, visiting Cairo, luxor and Aswan - We saw the Pyramids, the Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel.

However, there is one place on earth I have always wanted to visit and that's China and to walk along the Great Wall and see the Terracotta Army. Been to most other places i've wanted to see.

I would love to be able to retire to a villa in Italy, preferably near Venice or Rome,

Yeah I remember I watched one about a man from England who loves to chase them. He measures them on a computer devise in his office/bedroom and when he knows there is a big tornado on it's way (somewhere in America) he flies out and chases them and takes pictures!! There have only been mini ones in England :(

Another thing I'd love to happen that's outwith my control - for me to see some form of evidence, hard concrete evidence that there are other life forms outwith planet Earth.

Go and stare at the Moai (the big heads) on Easter Island.

I've no idea why I really want to do this as it's difficult/expensive to get there, and Easter Island looks pretty much similar to Scotland anyway - both bleak and desolate after being deforested.

What would you do on the moon bobnot? have a ciggie? seems a waste of time/money
See Engerland being cuffed out WC in shame I've already got that in the tick box
Shooting my nephew's BB gun on Christmas day was enough for me - 5 rounds in 12 seconds

Ach Ian! If you dislike people on here that much, just blank them!

Iknow it'snot alway easy to do but it's better than spending all your time on here bickering surely?!

sensible answer Lee - but I will never ignore the waynes - it seems insenible to me that I have to. Novo and Locke make me not enjoy TIBB. They pick on people in a short site. I'd rather leave you to it like Twatties

But why though

well, I'm not a big fan of cities anyway, it's dirty and unfriendly and far too many people around. I prefer a city like Barcelona eventhough it's a big city, there's a more easy going atmosphere, plus the weather is nicer and it has a lovely port area and beaches
