As I'm old I'll just sweep generations - anything from the 1970s (particular mention to Bay City Rollers fashions). Anything from the New Romantics of the early 80s.

A couple of pals came across 12 months ago - in the street the Germans asked me why all the women were wearing Fug Boots - then pointed-out to me the 90% of the St Andrews Uni lasses were as they passed by

:D That's my problem with them, they don't actually work as glasses. It's like having a tshirt with no sleeves.

KG.
18-01-2011, 10:26 PM
Those thick black rimmed, no lens glasses all the 'cool' indie kids like to wear. If you're going to wear glasses, have a reason to, and wear some with lenses.

They do look good on very few people though I must admit, but I mean very few.

Also a big lol at the people who just wear their 3D glasses from the cinema with the lenses poked out.

Well yes but thats more discreet than parading around in a fur coat.

Well yes but thats more discreet than parading around in a fur coat.

So you wear (discreet) dead animals but criticise someone for wearing a coat that's 100% Polyester (http://www.riverisland.com/Online/women/coats--jackets/coats/darkbeigeleopardfurvintagecoat-594902)?

I think what they mean is that although leather and fur both come from animals, wearing leather boots doesn't really look like you're wearing a dead animal.. :)

So sheepskin doesn't look like sheepskin ?

:conf:

Yes, yes it does.. Nobody's mentioned sheepskin actually. How does everybody feel about it? I personalyy am more than happy to wear a sheepskin coat.

Mind you, I think most peope's problem with fur is that most are made from animals that have been killed for the sole purpose of making the coat etc..

Correct me if I'm wrong people?

Anyway this was meant to be a fun, lighthearted topic, so I'll mention another Crime of Fashion whilst I'm here..

Anybody remember c4 BB forum?

I went on holiday for 10 days leaving a thread "Girls, what did you think of Ayshene's blue dress?". When I came home it was still the No.1 thread after 10 days!
