Hey Micheal, nice to see someone else on this forum is a TNA fan, I'm glad there is some people who give it a chance.
I'm sick of the bashing it gets, Yes they've made some stupid choices, (monday night debacle is one/Abyssamania another) but they've done some positive stuff too, like setting a record attendance in London lately.

Now TNA is on Freeview, Sky and Virgin
so its fair it has a thread.
In a Way TNA is sometimes far better than WWE
with punks like fat Del Rio
who can only win be cheating - outright.
I wonder how many TNA fans really do after critical evaluation think it is a better promotion than WWE. It's hardly all just to do with the fact that it's not WWE and they are trying to be different and against the grain ... is it?
I gave it a chance for like eight months and watched in despair as Bischoff, Russo and Hogan took many of my most loved 90's luminaries and destroyed them in convoluted storylines for absoloutely nothing that were so badly written than Stephanie Myers should sue the entire organization for plagarism.
TNA made clear to me that for better or worse WWE is the only game in town. They forced me through their own shite TV show to accept a slightly less shite TV show as being the way to go even if that too is a pale imitation of what it once was. WWE run the wrestling business and if you have anything to say that would prove otherwise then unleash the fury, brother.

and BTW, I never said i thought TNA was better or above WWE for that matter, but I personally enjoy TNA and i feel entertained by it and thats something i really can't say for WWE anymore (Though Rocky coming back was pretty nice this week).

TNA Wrestling on Challenge
The UK TV Ratings are in for the week ending 8th May 2011 and hot off the heels of last weeks record breaking viewership numbers and the announcement of another TNA UK fan party, you’d be forgiven for thinking this week couldn’t possibly bring any more good news…but it does!
According to the Broadcasters Audience Research Board – TNA iMPACT! scored a superb 244,000 viewers, for the Tuesday 3rd May “Queen Closeau” episode headlined by a Sting vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray World Title Match Main Event.
The search for Kurt Angle's "Mistress": Intrigued even the casual viewers!
This ensures that TNA Wrestling on Challenge continues to be the top rated wrestling programming on UK television for the fifth consecutive week, 9th time overall this year and is once again a new all time record high in viewership outdrawing both WWE RAW and Smackdown COMBINED!
The show once again ranked 1st overall amongst all programming on Challenge for the week and was up a whopping 44,000 viewers from last week’s record breaking episode.
TNA Xplosion, featuring a British Invasion, Murphy & Gunner vs. Orlando Jordan, Eric Young, Devon and Tommy Dreamer 8-Man Tag Bout, ranked outside the top 10 highest rated programs on Challenge TV and thus i’m unable to confirm the exact viewing figures for the episode. However the lowest ranked of the top 10, Eggheads, drew 123,000 viewers and thus Xplosion falls somewhere below that figure.
Here is the Top 10 ranked programs on Challenge for the week:
Challenge
w/e 08 May 2011
1 TNA IMPACT (TUE 2203) 244
2 IN IT TO WIN IT (THU 2100) 169
3 AUNTIES SMALLS (THU 2153) 152
4 IN IT TO WIN IT (TUE 2111) 150
5 BULLSEYE (WED 2301) 149
6 CRYSTAL MAZE (THU 1800) 148
7 CLASSIC WHO WANTS TBA MILLIONARE (WED 2201) 141
8 EGGHEADS (TUE 2036) 140
9 NINJA WARRIOR (THU 2201) 130
10 EGGHEADS (TUE 2000) 123
WWE’s RAW, featuring the heavily hyped “Rock Birthday Celebration”, a John Cena vs Miz WWE Title rematch and a Mason Ryan vs. Kane main event posted 135,000 viewers, up 7,000 from last weeks episode.
WWE’s other flagship show “Smackdown” drew 103,000 viewers (a drop of a whopping 32,000 viewers from last week) on Sky Sports 4 for a show headlined by Randy Orton’s World Heavyweight Title victory over Christian.
Here’s an overview of viewership for all wrestling programming for the week:
Weekly Ratings Summary:
TNA iMPACT! (Challenge, Tuesday, 2203) – 244,000
WWE LATE NIGHT RAW – LIVE (Sky Sports 3, Monday, 2600) – 135,000
WWE LATE NIGHT SMACKDOWN (Sky Sports 4, Friday, 2300) – 103,000
TNA XPLOSION (Challenge, Tuesday, 2400) – Under 123,000
Weekly Ratings Wins so far (2011)*:
TNA iMPACT! – 9
WWE RAW – 2
WWE Smackdown – 2
*Based on first showing viewing figures, not inclusive of +1 or replay figures.
Tits N' Ass is not the highest rated wrestling show in the UK. It simply packs all it's viewers into relatively few showings. WWE is on a set of channels you have to pay for and has about nine billion catch up shows a week. Take all of that into account.
Judging by that picture it's gone from a dodgy version of Nitro to a worse version of Thunder.

But it did beat both WWE RAW and Smackdown COMBINED! I see what your saying Stu about the catch up that just go to show what a bad job sky are doing its rating that count TNA number 1 wrestling show in the uk it's true its dam true

I think I'm right in saying that even when WCW were winning the ratings war across the pond not once did they beat WWE in the UK viewing figures. Great news for TNA

Yeah, the initial showing of Raw and Smackdown. Now add all the showings up. As a whole more people watch WWE than TNA. Far, far more. And you have to pay for it.
The WCW comparison is pointless. You would be lucky to catch Nitro every second week at like 4am on Bravo. It was like trying to watch porn once your parents had gone to bed.
Evidently the rating does show than the UK still have a massive appetite for wrestling. It's just a shame the product doesn't reflect the numbers.

TNA UK TV Ratings – Week Ending 15th May 2011
TNA Wrestling on Challenge
The UK TV Ratings are in for the week ending 15th May 2011 and it’s further good news for TNA Wrestling on Challenge!
According to the Broadcasters Audience Research Board – TNA iMPACT! scored a superb 193,000 viewers, for the Tuesday 10th May “The Network is Coming” episode headlined by a Kurt Angle & Velvet Sky vs. Jeff Jarrett, Angelina Love and Winter main Event.
Angle, the Jarretts and Velvet Sky: Held their own in an entertaining main event.
Despite the slight drop in viewership (likely a result of the show focusing very much on the knockouts and featuring few of the main event players) from the last two record breaking weeks, TNA Wrestling on Challenge continues to be the top rated wrestling programming on UK television for the sixth consecutive week and 10th time overall this year.
The show once again ranked 1st overall amongst all programming on Challenge for the week, with the Saturday night repeat ranking 6th.
The saturday night repeat drew an all time high viewership of 124,000 viewers, up 3000 on the previous record. Combined, this means a total of 317,000 viewers catching iMPACT! on Challenge this week, just 4000 shy of the previous high.
TNA Xplosion, featuring an Eric Young vs. Robbie E main event, ranked outside the top 10 highest rated programs on Challenge TV and thus i’m unable to confirm the exact viewing figures for the episode. However the lowest ranked of the top 10, Catchphrase, drew 119,000 viewers and thus Xplosion falls somewhere below that figure.
Here is the Top 10 ranked programs on Challenge for the week:
Challenge
w/e 15 May 2011
1 TNA IMPACT (TUE 2202) 193
2 CRYSTAL MAZE (MON 1800) 141
3 IN IT TO WIN IT (MON 2100) 140
4 CATCHPHRASE (WED 1902) 127
5 BULLSEYE (WED 2302) 126
6 TNA IMPACT (SAT 2100) 124
7 FAMILY FORTUNES (WED 2030) 124
8 CLASSIC WHO WANTS TBA MILLIONARE (WED 2201) 122
9 CATCHPHRASE (WED 1932) 121
10 CATCHPHRASE (FRI 1931) 119

Ric Flair Facing Jail Time?
Just what is it with pro wrestlers and North Carolina courts these days? The following comes courtesy of PWInsider.com:
TNA star Ric Flair was found in civil contempt earlier today during a hearing regarding Flair not adhering to a mediated Settlement Agreement in the lawsuit brought against him by online retailer Highspots.com. An order for Flair’s arrest was then issued in the County of Mecklenburg in North Carolina.
According to the order, which was acquired this evening by PWInsider.com, the court found that Flair had agreed in mediation to a Settlement Agreement with Highspots.com and was required to pay them $35,000 as well as sign 300 photos in order to provide restitution for the issues between the two sides. Doing so would end the long-standing legal issues between the two that began when Flair borrowed money from Highspots during a period the two sides were doing business with each other.
Flair, despite signing the agreement to do so, failed to adhere to the terms in a timely manner. Highspots.com then took to Superior Court to enforce. They sided with Highspots and ordered Flair to adhere by 4/29.
At today’s hearing, the Court decreed that Flair, who “has the assets and income required” to make the Settlement Agreement instead “willfully violated and continues to willfully violate” the court’s mandated order. The court also noted that Flair was doing so despite being “able to comply with the Order” or being “able to to take reasonable measures” towards complying.
The Court ruled that Flair was in “willfull civil contempt of the court” and issued an arrest order, which reads:
“Therefore it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that Defendant Richard Fliehr is hereby held in civil contempt for his failure to comply with the Consent Order to Enforce Settlement and that the Defendant be imprisoned for as long as he remains in civil contempt for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from his date of imprisonment. This imprisonment shall commence on June 27, 2011 without further action of the court.”
The court then ruled that Flair could cancel the arrest order by paying Highspots.com the $35,000 he previously agreed to and by signing and returning the 300 photos, which court documents indicate are the hands of Flair’s attorneys.
The court also ruled that if Flair was unable to do so, he could also hand over the NWA World championship belt that he had provided to Highspots.com as collateral previously (based on the order, it appears the belt is currently back in Flair’s hands) and authorize that they can have the ownership and rights of the belt, in order to sell it off as a means to regain the money owed. That aspect of the order noted that the NWA belt needed to be “free of all liens and encumbrances”, which could be an issue for Flair, since there is already one other entity with a lien against him for the belt.
So, it appears Flair will either have to finally pay the Agreement or find himself jailed.

TNA UK TV Ratings – Week Ending 22nd May 2011
May 31, 2011
TNA Wrestling on Challenge
The UK TV Ratings are in for the week ending 22nd May 2011 and it’s further good news for TNA Wrestling on Challenge!
According to the Broadcasters Audience Research Board – TNA iMPACT! scored a superb 197,000 viewers, for the Tuesday 17th May “The Network’s Revenge” episode featuring the surprise appearances of Mick Foley, Chris Harris and Chyna. The show was headlined by 25 Man Battle Royal main Event won by Mr. Anderson. This was up 4,000 viewers on last weeks episode and means TNA Wrestling on Challenge continues to be the top rated wrestling programming on UK television for the seventh consecutive week and 11th time overall this year.
TNA Sacrifice, headlined by Sting vs. RVD - the most watched TNA PPV broadast ever in the United Kingdom.
But the biggest ratings news of the week is in relation to the TNA Sacrifice PPV broadcast. The event, featuring a heavily hyped Sting vs. Rob Van Dam World Title matchup drew a record 204,000 viewers, meaning TNA Sacrifice is the most watched TNA PPV ever broadcast on UK television!
Sacrifice ranked 1st overall amongst all programming on Challenge for the week, with IMPACT in second place.
TNA Xplosion, featuring a Douglas Williams vs. Okada main event, ranked outside the top 10 highest rated programs on Challenge TV and thus i’m unable to confirm the exact viewing figures for the episode. However the lowest ranked of the top 10, Catchphrase, drew 124,000 viewers and thus Xplosion falls somewhere below that figure.

All these ratings wins are only because wwe is behind a pay-wall and tna is not. Surely
Correct. In addition to the fact that Raw's first showing is on incredibly early in the morning and Sky give fans dozens of opportunities to catch up thereby spreading the numbers across the week.
At the end of the day WWE does much bigger television, merchanside and live ticket business in the UK than TNA. TNA simply has a show that condenses a lot of viewers down to one or two showings on free TV at prime time hours.
It's absurd to suggest like they do that they are more popular. They're not.

New Format for TNA Xplosion
I've got exclusive news for you guys this morning. Having spoken to some sources with IMPACT Wrestling / TNA Entertainment, their internationally syndicated show "TNA Xplosion" will have a new format from next week forward.
I'm told this will include much more exclusive content, including an increase in the number of exclusive matches going forward. This should be welcome news to viewers, who have often cited that the show needs to move away from the "IMPACT Wrestling Recap" segments and include more exclusive content.
You can catch TNA Xplosion in the United Kingdom and Ireland every Wednesday night at 10pm on Challenge (Tuesday at Midnight on PPV week)

Well other people where speaking the truth including myself. And before you ask I did watch the pay per view yesterday and was just board of it.
I was watching it with a few friends and for one thing I did not look at the results at all before watching it and managed to predict what the results where in every single match. Its got very predictable, TNA need a new script writer they really do. Vince Russo needs to go.
I just hope challenge leaves freeview or tna goes back to been pay tv so I don't get roped into watching this I really do. Unless they decide to replace Vince then I would be happy for it to stay

one more thing challenge is not leaving freeview :hmph:
You never know. I remember loads of channels that people have said the same thing to me and they left.
Challenge don't have the same security on freeview as the other sky channels. Its written in the mux C license that sky need ofcom permission to remove sky news, pick tv or pick tv+1
Challenge is on the sdn owned mux A and there is nothing in the Mux A license that offers the same security. I am hoping its challenges slot that bid media are selling I really am.
And btw I am roped into watching tna because other people visit me on TNA day. Tna would be good without vince russo been the script writer I always say that but I have noticed a few times now he has re used wwe and wcw story lines that he wrote when he was with those companies. Fire russo then tna would be onto a winner.
I watched Hardcore Justice too and it was awful. Like being forced to watch your parents **** awful. TNA are very much a TV company. PPV doesn't matter to them at all. They do awful buyrates and the cards don't feel that different to a regular episode of the TV show because they are still for the most part in that godforsaken soundstage that make them look rank amateur.
Most of the matches were lifeless and the traditional Vince Russo 'someone comes down with a steel chair now' finish was dull as hell. Everything they do has a been there, done that feeling. Been there, done that on an episode of Raw Is War in 1999.
I'm all for opinions but to call it the best show of the year reeks of fanboyism. It simply was not in any way even close to being the best show of the year.

on the challenge leaving freeview point i will say this a channel is leaving freeview we no this but i really cant see sky letting any one else have a 24/7 slot and i dont think there would put a other channel on or there would of already done by now as for bidtv that can go

TNA Beats WWE In UK Ratings
TheIanHamilton.com notes that TNA is beating WWE in the UK ratings. Raw on 7/25 drew 156,000 viewers and drew 129,000 viewers on 8/1. Smackdown on 7/29 drew 128,000 viewers and 126,000 viewers on 8/5. TNA Impact Wrestling on 7/26 drew 231,000 viewers and 297,000 viewers on 8/2. That last figure of 297,000 is a record number in the UK.
However it must be noted that TNA airs on free TV, while WWE is on the subscription Sky service.

Courtesy of the Broadcaster's Audience Research Board (BARB) here are the UK TV ratings for wrestling programming that ranked in the top 10's for their respective channels on the week ending August 7th 2011:
1 TNA PRESENTS IMPACT WRESTLING (Tue, Challenge , 2200) 297,000

6 WWE NXT (Thu, Sky Sports 4, 2400) 28,000
7 WWE BOTTOM LINE (Sat, Sky Sports 4, 1331) 25,000
It's another impressive showing from IMPACT Wrestling on Challenge as it not only remains the most watched wrestling show in the UK and Ireland, but breaks it's all time viewership record with a whopping 297,000 viewers, breaking the previous record of 282,000 set just two weeks ago. The show garnered 297,000 viewers (Up 63,000 viewers [21.2%] from last week) for the Tuesday August 2nd episode headlined by a superb Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson steel cage match.
WWE RAW drew 129,000 viewers (Down 27,000 viewers [17.3%] from last week 156,000) for it's Monday August 1st episode which featured CM Punk's re-signing with WWE, the announcement of the Undisputed WWE Title match for Summerslam and an Alberto Del Rio vs. Evan Bourne main event.
Both IMPACT Wrestling and RAW remain the most watched shows on their respective channels.
WWE's other flagship show, Smackdown, garnered (Down 2,000 viewers [1.56%] from last week 128,000) 126,000 viewers for the Friday August 5th edition which was headlined by a Randy Orton & John Morrison vs. Christian & R-Truth Main Event.

http://mma.mirror.co.uk/2011/08/22/record-breaking-impact-wrestling-moves-to-sunday-nights-on-challenge-tv/
Impact Wrestling will now be broadcast on Sunday nights in the UK and Ireland after winning record ratings on Challenge TV.
The show – which features Hulk Hogan, Sting, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson, the TNA Knockouts and many other huge wrestling stars – will now air every Sunday night at the earlier time of 9:00pm starting this Sunday, August 28.
A repeat of the episode will then be shown every Tuesday at 10pm in Impact Wrestling’s current slot.
The move to an earlier day in the week is due to fan feedback, with British and Irish fans using social media to request transmission closer to the US airing of Thursday nights.
It is also a recognition of the ratings Impact Wrestling has received since starting on Challenge in February. In the last six months, the programme has doubled its audience and become the most watched weekly wrestling show on British television of the last 10 years.
Companion show TNA Xplosion recently moved to a prime time slot on Challenge and is broadcast every Wednesday night at 10pm. Impact Wrestling’s monthly PPV events will also continue to go out on a Wednesday night at 10pm, with Xplosion moving to midnight on Tuesday on those weeks.
Challenge is part of Sky TV and can be found on Sky channel 125, Freeview channel 46 and Virgin Media channel 139.
Andy Barton, Impact Wrestling’s Executive Vice President, said: “We’re thrilled with the success we’ve been enjoying in the UK and were determined to reward the fans by giving them exactly what they’ve been asking for – Impact Wrestling earlier in the week.”
“Sunday nights will never be the same again!”
Barbara Gibbon, Sky’s Director of Production for Sky Entertainment Channels, added: “We are delighted to be working with Impact Wrestling at this exciting time.”
“British and Irish fans are among the most ardent in the world – and we are thrilled to be able to bring them all the latest action on Challenge.”

TNA was good in 2005-2007ish
It was exciting that one night it went head to head with Raw live. Everything since has been typical Vince Russo foam at the mouth, gurning, trash pro wrestling booking with nobody around to control his ideas. It's just this endless maze of factions and break ups and merges and more factions. Nothing matters in TNA. It's like it's not really happening. If the Wolfpac show up on TNA it doesn't count. If they show up on WWE then it's amazing because the Wolfpac are back.

this is big news
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/4131390/TNA-shake-up-as-Vince-Russo-departs.html
FORMER WWE and WCW head writer Vince Russo has left the TNA creative team after 10 years on and off with the company.
Russo played a key role in TNA when it was first created in 2002 and is even credited by some for coming up with the name.
He left two years later, but was rehired by TNA President Dixie Carter in 2006 and has played a major role in creative since that time.
However last night, Dixie revealed: "TNA and Vince Russo have mutually parted ways as of this week.
"The separation is amicable and professional. We are glad for the opportunity to have worked together and wish each other nothing but good luck and success in the future."
Russo was always controversial with fans, splitting opinion between those who credited him with the success of the WWE Attitude Era and those who blamed him for the death of WCW.
Although many TNA storylines and matches under his watch won rave reviews, there were also regular "Fire Russo" chants from fans who disliked some of the more corny and crazy aspects of TNA booking.
Bruce Pritchard recently replaced Russo as head writer and is thought to be retaining that role going forward.
Former WWE and ROH booker Dave Lagana has now joined the Impact Wrestling creative team, after his success working on Ring Ka King in India.
Eric Bischoff — who also has a hand in the running of the shows — welcomed Lagana, by tweeting: "Had the opportunity to work with David in WWE and learned to respect his knowledge of story structure and detail."

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/4427519/Austin-Aries-is-TNA-Wrestlings-new-world-heavyweight-champion.html
EXACTLY one year after winning a contract with TNA Wrestling, Austin Aries became the company’s world heavyweight champion.
Aries dethroned Bobby Roode at Destination X, TNA’s annual homage to the sometimes overlooked high-flying wrestlers who helped make them the world’s No2 grappling promotion.
He vacated his X Division title to face Roode in the main event of the Challenge TV show — and what a blistering encounter they delivered.
Both men traded near falls and the advantage throughout, offering a believable scrap where the finish could not be predicted.
The end came as Roode pulled every dirty trick out of his bag — including a belt shot and referee bump — but still fell to an Aries Brain Buster.
Aries showed genuine emotion as he was handed the gold afterwards, a fitting reward for 12 months in which he’s arguably been the hottest star in the wrestling business.
Destination X kicked off with the X Division Tournament Last Chance Qualifier.
Rubix, Mason Andrews, Lars Only and Dakota Darsow squared off for a spot in the next match and possible shot at the vacant X gold later on the show.
The spot-fest was quick with Andrews winning after some reasonable exchanges.
Kid Kash v Andrews followed directly afterwards and built momentum up in the arena. Veteran Kash was on fine form but fell to a roll-up.
UK star Doug Williams also lost to a rising talent, as our man was bested by Kenny King in a reasonable match.
The returning Sonjay Dutt received a decent pop from fans as he beat Rashad Cameron, before Zema Ion bested Flip Casanova in a quick match that did not highlight either man's skills.
The Bound For Glory Series match between Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe was a welcome addition to the card.
The back-and-forth action livened up things nicely and worked well among their high-flying peers.
The finish came when Joe applied the rear naked choke and Kurt passed out, netting Joe 10 points for the submission win.
Former buddies AJ Styles and Daniels’ Last Man Standing encounter was a blinder, with both men risking life and limb in and out of the ring.
But interference by Kazarian could not help his tag team partner as AJ hit a Styles Clash through a table to win.
Ultimate X was, as expected, a flurry of high-risk moves, tope-rope spots and much more as the steel structure X ropes came into play.
In the end, Ion overcame Dutt, via hairspray assist, to grab the title belt.
Destination X was a hit-and-miss event, but one where TNA showed how much support it is giving its younger roster members.
The crowing of Aries as world champion will shake up the title picture.
And with no sign of Hulk Hogan, Sting and many others, this was a night that belonged to the often neglected and yet so refreshing high-flying X Division stars.
We all knew Slammiversary would be a hard act to follow and that an X Division-heavy event would blow hot and cold.
That said, this was a decent offering from the always improving Impact Wrestling crew.

WWE are so ****ing dumb at recognising talent, he'd have jobbed like a bitch, maybe had a MITB match and then released had he gone 5 metres before them... least TNA gave him a chance, I'm happy for him.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/4440390/Chavo-Guerrero-signs-for-TNA-Wrestling.html
CHAVO GUERRERO has become the latest big name to sign for TNA Wrestling.
The former WCW and WWE star will make his debut on TNA’s flagship Impact Wrestling show on Thursday, which will be broadcast in the UK on Challenge TV three days later.
TNA president Dixie Carter announced the news last night, telling fans: “We’re excited to have Guerrero join the TNA family!
“I’m looking forward to seeing him on Impact Wrestling every week.”
Guerrero becomes the second member of his legendary family to work for TNA, as he is the nephew of the company’s Spanish commentator Hector.
The Guerreros rank alongside the Harts, Von Erichs and McMahons as the most famous clan in the history of pro wrestling.
Guerrero’s dad Chavo Snr and his grandfather, the late Gory Guerrero, are legends in Mexico and beyond.
The most successful Guerrero of all was Chavo’s uncle Eddie, a former WWE world champion who is still adored by fans around the globe more than six years after his death.
Chavo is best known for his run in the WWE, where he won the cruiserweight and ECW championships, while also lifting tag team gold alongside Eddie.
He joins grappling legends including Hulk Hogan, Sting and Kurt Angle in TNA.

http://www.impactwrestling.com/news/item/4010-NEWS-TNA-Wrestling-Announces-Major-Changes-To-2013-Pay-Per-View-Strategy
TNA IMPACT WRESTLING today announced a new worldwide Pay-Per-View programming initiative for 2013. The 52 annual episodes of IMPACT WRESTLING on SpikeTV will lead to four, live epic Pay-Per-View events commencing with “Genesis” on January 13th, “Lockdown” on March 10th, “Slammiversary” on June 9 and “Bound For Glory” on October 13th.
In addition, seven Pay-Per-View specials that will be branded as “TNA Wrestling: One Night Only,” series will debut in April 2013 and continue throughout the year during the additional months. The 3-hour taped Pay-Per-View specials will premiere on the first Friday of each month. The first two “One Night Only” specials will be “Joker’s Wild Tag Team Tournament” and “X-travaganza” which will feature the X-Division.
“The Pay-Per-View industry has changed so much in the last decade,” says TNA President Dixie Carter. “The traditional pay-per-view wrestling model needed to evolve and we believe this strategy will positively impact not only the Pay-Per-View events but the weekly television programming as well.”
The company will continue to produce TNA Wrestling’s “Unfinished Business”, which are one-hour programs available on a Video on Demand (VOD) basis. The monthly titles continue to focus on the history of a rivalry or a specific past PPV event. These titles are available for two months at a time.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/5008212/Hardcore-Justice-2-Justice-is-served-as-old-faces-return-for-TNA-event.html
SOME much-loved wrestlers from the past returned to TNA last night for the Hardcore Justice Two event.
The company revisited the often bloody violent past of wrestling and embraced the legacy of ECW.
But the show kicked off with a whimper instead of a bang.
Here we saw long forgotten combo of The New Church (Slash and Sin) battling the much-missed team of LAX (Hernandez and Homicide).
It had its moments, but never gelled and New Church brought nothing to the table unfortunately.
LAX won this Street Fight with a slick looking SuperMex dive/pin combo.
Next up, the Knockouts took to the stage as ODB faced off against Jackie Moore.
The action here was fluid, but lacked emotion and intensity.
There were some nice weapons shots but ODB’s win was not a huge surprise.
Thankfully, the momentum picked up next as Generation Me (aka The Young Bucks) returned to battle Bad Influence in a ladder match for a $20,000 cheque.
This was exactly what I expected from all four combatants.
Fast, furious, innovative and brutal all at once.
The finish did mar proceedings though, as Daniels threw his drink in his opponents face to allow Kaz the opportunity to grab the cheque.
The Hardcore Gauntlet match kept things moving along too.
Here we saw Devon Storm, Little Guido, 2 Cold Scorpio, Sam Shaw, Gunner, Crimson, Johnny Swinger, Funaki and Shark Boy all bring a weapon to the game and tackle an over-the-top-rope scrap.
This also had its moments and impressed at times, with Shark Boy winning by forcing his opponents over the top rope.
Aces & Eights then battled James Storm, Magnus and former WWE star Bob Holly in a six-man elimination encounter.
Holly was in fine shape here and is someone who still has something to offer either TNA or WWE.
The action was well-paced and the eliminations were swift and exciting.
Storm overcame the odd to pick up a well-received win for his team.
The Monsters Ball match has always been a bloody and violent affair, featuring Abyss.
Of course, that character has now disappeared and we have his brother Joseph instead.
This meant his war with old foe Judas Messias (with James Mitchell) was a below par effort for all concerned.
Park’s win was nothing special here, roll on an Abyss return.
Main event wise things took off again though as TNA once again embraced ECW.
Here we saw Aces and Eights' Bully Ray and Devon face off against their ‘brother’ Runt/Spike and his mystery partner Jeff Hardy in a very good tables match that delivered exactly what fans wanted.
Runt and Hardy pulled off the win after Hardy splashed Devon for the pin.
Hardcore Justice 2 was a mixed bag of matches but for the most part it worked well as a standalone TNA.
The combatants gave their all, whether they were TNA stars or names from the past.
The highlights were some of the Generation Me high spots, James Storm’s rapid win, the gauntlet match and the way Bully Ray played the live crowd.
TNA’s One Night Only events may be hit and miss at times, but this was definitely a hit

http://www.impactwrestling.com/news/item/5346-Press-Release-Magnus-ends-Britain-s-108-year-wait-for-a-wrestling-World-Champion
London (Monday December 23, 2013): TNA IMPACT WRESTLING star Magnus has become the first ever Brit to win the World Heavyweight Championship for a major American wrestling organisation, ending a wait of more than 108 years.
magnus2Magnus (former TV Gladiator Nick Aldis from King's Lynn, Norfolk) beat Jeff Hardy for the vacant TNA World Heavyweight Championship in a gripping tournament final.
His victory was broadcast to millions of people in more than 120 countries, including on Challenge TV in the UK and Ireland on Sunday December 22, 2013.
Magnus will bring his newly-won championship home when he visits five arenas around Britain and Ireland on the TNA MAXIMUM IMPACT VI Tour in January/February 2014.
He said: “It is truly an honour and a privilege to be the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. I'm looking forward to bringing the title belt back to where it all started for me. It's something I've always dreamed of doing.
“It's also important to represent all the people in the UK wrestling business that helped me get to this point, and hopefully show the young British talent that there is no glass ceiling; you can be a top guy!”
Magnus’ title win ends one the longest waits in British sporting history, which began when Russian George Hackenschmidt beat American Tom Jenkins on May 4, 1905 to become wrestling’s first widely regarded World Heavyweight Champion.
The victory puts Magnus alongside Tour De France winner Bradley Wiggins (109 years), boxing’s former Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion Lennox Lewis (100 years), Wimbledon men’s singles victor Andy Murray (77 years) and 1980 men’s 100 metres Olympic Gold Medallist Alan Wells (56 years).
Wrestling historian and author John Lister said: “While the likes of the legendary British Bulldog, William Regal, Wade Barrett and Doug Williams have all had great success in America, they've fallen short in their challenges for the World Heavyweight Championship.
“It's a great achievement for Magnus to become the No1 wrestler in a globally televised promotion and also shows how important the British audience is to TNA.
“For decades it seemed impossible that we would ever see a British man win Wimbledon, hold a World Heavyweight Championship for a major wrestling company or lift the World Cup again. With two down in the same year, perhaps it's an omen for next summer in Rio!”
As well as a successful career inside the wrestling ring, Magnus has also found fame in a variety of different fields – including as Oblivion on Sky One’s Gladiators, the co-host of hit Challenge TV series UK’s Strongest Man, a popular Christmas pantomime regular at the Norwich Theatre Royal and a columnist for Fighting Spirit Magazine.
Fans can see Magnus as part of the huge TNA MAXIMUM IMPACT VI Tour, which will also feature global wrestling stars Kurt Angle, Bully Ray, Mr Anderson, Bobby Roode, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, James Storm, Gunner, Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, Rockstar Spud, Ethan Carter III, Robbie E. Jessie Godderz, Zema Ion, Joseph Park, Eric Young, Chris Sabin, Sam Shaw, Gail Kim, ODB, Velvet Sky, Lei'd Tapa and Madison Rayne.
