Oscar nominee James Franco has confessed to making a sex tape.
The 127Hours star said he made the 'horrible' film when he was a teenager.
He did not name the girl in the tape, but said making the film had made him appreciate adult film stars and their work.
Franco, who is one of the presenter's at next month's Oscar's ceremony in Los Angeles, brought up sex tape during a round table discussion with other actors for Newsweek magazine.
He was asked on how to film a good kiss, and replied:"I think if anybody who has made a home sex tape knows, what feels best doesn't always look best.
'I remember when I was 19 doing that, and then watching it back and thinking, oh, that looks horrible.'
Franco, 32, said making the amateur film meant he has 'a lot of respect for those actors in pornography.'
'They are really not just doing it, they're really selling it,' he said.
'It's the same thing with a kiss. It's not just the kiss that feels best, it's an image. Something different is happening if it's a good kiss.'
